The falls are the second largest in Ontario. They are a very short distance from the parking lot, an easy walk. You have to pay to park, it is about $3 for an hour and $5.25 for two hours. There are some trails you can walk. We did a short one. If we had more time it would have been... More

Very beautiful, and much, much less crowded and touristy than Niagara. Lovely walking around the falls, and can get quite close to them, which is fun. Perhaps not quite as spectacular as Niagara, but a much more natural experience.

I actually just came across this place without ever hearing about it before, and I'm glad I stopped to check it out! It's a beautiful place, and there were pathways all around to get great vantage points and views of the falls. If you go over the bridge and walk down the far bank pathway, you get a fine mist... We made the trip to Thunder Bay and Kakabeka Falls and enjoy it very much. The falls is beautiful and the National Park has done a wonderful job building walkways to get the best vistas of the falls. We camped at the campground, and other than the fact that the road going to the campground badly needs fixing, this was... More

Easy access, don't miss this! Bring a camera and binoculars. There is a deck and a fabulous foot bridge.

Kakabeka Falls was the highlight of our short trip to Thunder Bay. It is about a 20 minute drive from the city. With lots of walkways, the park makes it easy to see the falls at their most breathtaking. The visitors center is small but worth a visit. We would recommend giving yourself an hour to enjoy the views.

Kakabeka Falls is a 20-minute drive from Thunder Bay, and is well worth the trip. It's nice to have an attraction like this that doesn't require a long hike to get to the main event. There is no fee to see the falls, but parking starts at $3CA for an hour. There were a lot of hikers and cyclists during... More

It's a very nice falls, but there's not too many falls that aren't nice. Nothing for trails, just a few vantage points to view the falls from. Does fill a 1.5 hour time gap if you need a filler, but don't feel bad if you miss this one while in the Thunder Bay area.

Having visited here at previous visits to area, was still impressed. Falls not as wild, as has been in the past---nor as calm as at other times Just a wonderful spot to visit with family. Enjoy their little gift shop!
