The city if Thunder Bay looks so beautiful from such a height. It's always a nice change of pace to visit the mountain and escape the city life from time to time. It's also the location for Fort William First Nations annual Pow Wow. A must see.

The Google Maps driving directions we printed off at the hotel before setting out to this attraction weren't quite accurate. So after stopping to ask directions, we found the road leading to the mountain. Admission was $5, which wasn't horrible in my opinion. We were instructed to just follow the road, which had recently been blacktopped and was in excellent... More

The walkway along the edge of the lookout needs to be updated. It looks rickety and has some rotten boards on the walkway that have been fixed with a piece of plywood nailed overtop. Nice view.

Took the family up the mt to check it out. The road is all re-done and lots is being developed. It is worth the 5$. Great view and some great trials to walk. If in tbay visiting....check this out.

I took my kids to Mount Mckay, we loved it!!! It was a very beautiful view of the city and lake superior. It only cost $5 to get in. We were going to hike up the mountain but forgot bug spray, definitely a must!!! We enjoyed it so much we went twice the second time we saw 2 bear cubs.... More

Don't listen to the other reviewers who bashed the place, but didn't bother paying $5 to actually see the view. You spent more than $5 gas driving there, what's bad about another $5? Driving takes you to a lookout halfway up the mountain, where there's a great view and a little shop for refreshments. If you want to go to... More

I visited the Mount Mckay with some friends and we had a really good time there, we had the opportunity to know about the aboriginal culture, enjoy the nature and the view of Thunder Bay from the top of the Mount!

What a view! You can see Thunder Bay, Sleeping Giant, and the whole valley. Well worth the trip. Besides, you can buy cheap gas at the gas station near by.

There is a $5 charge per car, but certainly worth that! Heavens a bag of chips $ a pop is just as expensive. The road is like any back country gravel road, it isn't fantastic, but we had no problems in our little car, just go slower and drive accordingly! The view is beautiful of both Thunderbay and the sleeping... More
