We go here often in the summer. It is a very large park with lots of room for young children to run free. Most things are included in the admission price, like the animals, splash pad, fishing, paddle boats...ect. Some posts on here complain about the sizes of the enclosures for some animals. I totally disagree! I find the animals... More

The animals in this zoo were so badly taken care of that my 10 year old daughter was actually crying. Several animals were limping or were emaciated. Most of the enclosures were far too small. While the play areas and such are nice, but this should not come at the expense of the animals.

Lots of animals to enjoy during the Summer and great for kids with lots of activities. The caffeteria and food facility wasnt that great, because there were too many people and there was a big lineup in the Summer of 2013.Next time i go i would pack some sandwiches in case.

The park was great. The trails were covered with trees like you were on a hiking trail. The one thing is we both wish the exhibits were numbered and easy to find on map. Some exhibits were hidden from the path and we didn't want to miss a thing.

We first visited SF August 2012, on a hot summer day. This time, we came on a weekday, so the crowds were a bit smaller. Some improvements that made this trip better: 1) the budgie house, where free flying colourful birds were about (for $1, you could purchase a stick covered in bird seed, and they would basically land on... We went on a very hot day (35 degrees/40 degrees with humidity). We took a picnic and drinks so I'm not sure how much the food costs. The tickets were quite cheap and we didn't ride the tram as we like to wander around and snoop :D. In order to get out of the heat, you have to get off... More

If you are expecting something like the African Lion safari - this is not it. However it has lots of activities for children, especially for younger ones. It is about 7 minutes drive from Crystal Beach so if you go there for a weekend and one of the day is not so great for the beach, this would be a... More
