Not much of an attraction but still worth a stroll down after dinner to kill time or just unwind and relax. The view of the international crossing, as well as the distant landscape was nice. Maybe it would have all seemed more complete as something worth doing if it wasnt so cold! ((Visited in Aug 2013 when sault ste marie... More

It runs all along the riverside with a great view of the bridge, the US and the locks. Last week it was full of flowers. From the Delta hotel it is a nice walk all the way up to the locks and then to the Whitefish island which is another excellent place to walk.

The Boardwalk is a great place to walk -- whether you have 2 feet or 4. People are friendly. There are generally people fishing; this past summer a very talented young man played keyboard on the boardwalk. If you're up for it, follow the walk up to the locks where there a beautiful park area, wildlife trails, and the House... More

Nice little walk over looking the river and across to Michigan. So very strange they decided to build such an atrocious mall blocking the entire waterfront. There is an amphitheater, and a farmers market during summer. I love this little city. It is a ghost town after 5pm and on weekends, but if you have a chance to get on... More

The board walk goes for a long way which is so nice for a good walk. Who can beat the scenery right beside the water for a beautiful place to be beside the St. Mary's River? One of the most wonderful places to have a great stroll!!!

They try, but the simple fact is the river isn't all that pretty to look at. The paths are well-maintained and surprisingly graffiti free, considering the condition of the immediate area. The water outflow from the hydroelectric dam is simply staggering - the river has quite the clip to it. Lack of anything to really look at and overall run-down... More

It was nice to explore the boardwalk. Had some unique flowers that I have never seen before. My son loved watching the ducks, crossing the bridges and looking at the water. It was very pretty and relaxing.

We took several walks during our stay in SSM. It was always enjoyable and reading plaques along the way to learn about the area. There are many art pieces around too, and just a beautiful place to visit. Plenty of things to visit all along here.

Excellent downtown location, lots going on down there. Rotaryfest is a must to attend in the summer here.
