This is a fantastic tour for all ages. Great opportunity for family time without Wifi, to play games and spend time together. The train ride is filled with beautiful scenery and commentary. The canyon is breathtaking with different trails for all levels of fitness and great picnic areas to take in the views. Disappointing that we expected clear roof/sky light.... More

Let me start by saying, that there is some real beauty out on this tour and the staff on the train is friendly and very accomodating. Beyond that this tour almost felt like a trap. The tour is 10 hours long with 8.5 hours being on the train. Anything you get on the train is extra and expensive. We spent... More

Great train ride through the forest's of Canada. The ride takes approx. 10 hours so be prepared for a long trip. I believe the whole experience would have been much better and more interesting, if some of the dense trees and underbrush had been cut back from so close to the tracks. One couldn't see much beyond 15-20 ft outside... More

This was a delightful way to spend a day in a beautiful corner of the world. We enjoyed the views, the staff, and the ride. Our only complaint is that the coffee cups are trash bound. The rest of the service is ceramic, metal, etc. Seems strange to have disposable coffee cups (and tasting the cup instead of the coffee)... More

I love traveling by train. I find it very relaxing. This was an especially nice trip. The scenery was beautiful. The stop at the canyon park was fun. The train ride itself was great. On the way there, there were lots of historical tidbits on the video screen. It was also fun to watch the live video shot from the... More

We loved the tour. Staff were great and the views were wonderful. We could have used another hour at the park to explore the area. You may want to bring your own lunch and snacks as the choices are limited and expensive. Well worth the cother

On balance, the trip is a worthwhile way of spending nine and a half hours - an 8 hour return rail trip plus 90 minutes in the canyon. The scenery during the journey is quite glorious at times, particularly the views across lakes and the odd spectacular crossing of a curved trestle bridge or distant view of Lake Superior. But... Our family (with children aged 7-12) really enjoyed the trip. We saw some amazing scenery on the way to the canyon. The train was comfortable, and we were able to spread out (not too full). You can bring your own food and drinks (just no alcohol). We had our own snacks and drinks, and we ordered box lunches from the... More

We came into this tour knowing it would be a long ride to reach the Agawa Canyon Wilderness Park and the railway does a great job in passing the time with videos (monitors are everywhere in the coaches) with commentary and a live video stream from the front of the train. The Canyon Park is amazing and if you hustle... More

Train journey is 4 hours, but there is commentary & video along the trip, advising which side to look & what you are looking at + a bit of History about the area you are passing through. The stopping point at the end is a National Park, so it is clean & accessible. Plenty of picture taking is advisable, as... More
