The Agawa Canyon Tour Train was fun as it clickety-clacked four hours toward the canyon. Lakes, rivers, communities, steel mill, forests, and railroad crossings passed by our viewing window. Also, negotiating our drunken-like walk through the train for snacks and drinks was quite fun. In the canyon, we trekked 45-minutes round trip to see two water falls. Both were beautiful... More

I thoroughly enjoyed our day trip into the Canadian wilderness and the Agawa Canyon. We boarded the train at 8am and returned at 6pm. It was an overcast day, but that didn't put a damper on our journey. The seats on the train car were very comfortable and the huge windows allowed us a beautiful view of the surroundings. There... The sales pitch in the advertisements about this trip promise a scenic 4-hour (one way) ride to see a spectacular canyon and impressive waterfalls. The trip I took in mid-July 2014 turned into a 5-hour one way ride -- 10 hours on the train for the round trip -- and the scenery consisted of seeing a lot of small trees,... More

The train ride was comfortable and had great commentary along the ride to give you history of the area's you passed. Very serene landscape, beautiful lakes along the way. The park itself was quaint and had 3 waterfalls to "hike" to, not very distant hikes. Also had a lookout point that was breathtaking. Definitely for nature lovers!

I couldn't honestly blame the weather (mostly rain and cold) on anyone but the lack of indoor facilities at the canyon stop were inadequate to say the least. Overall I wouldn't recommend this trip unless you are a nature lover and like trees. The staff (mostly young people) were very nice and tried to help out whenever they could. Getting... More

This train ride was an enjoyable experience. The seats were nice, windows very large and easy to see the beautiful landscape. Note the ride is very long each way (about four hours) and you get an hour and a half to explore the canyon. If I were to go again, I would hike the stairs for the higher lookout first... More

We are a family of five with three children ranging from four to fifteen and we all enjoyed it. It is a long ride, but well worth it. The scenery is spectacular if you are a nature lover! The canyon itself is breathtaking. The trails in the canyon are not very rugged or strenuous so it made it nice. We did... More

This tour which has been operating successfully for 50 years, was one of the high lights of our vacation. The train trip was great and featured some fantastic views of the Canadian Shield. The train staff were were super and more than helpful. This is ideal for anyone who loves trains and wants to see the great Canadian wilderness. If... More

The two of us spent Friday night, 9/5, in Soo, On at the Quality Inn. Great location, room adequate. We chose this hotel for its location directly across the street from the train station as we were riding Saturday morning. Friday afternoon was spent driving 17 West up to Batchawana Bay, Soo curlers for a tour and Gino's for dinner.... More
