On the plus side, they have a fairly impressive number of planes on display for the size of the museum. They're really packed in. Also, several of the larger planes are set up so that you can enter them and look around the interior. There's also a nice little section of hands-on type science exhibits that I think are intended... More

For Mid-westerners in search of a nice place to get away from the hum drum and routine of ordinary days, a trip to the northern woods is ideal. We packed a few things and headed north to Sault Ste Marie and its environs stopping at some local attractions and cultural places. We breezed by, on to our next destination, a... More

We attended two excellent movie presentations. One was more geared towards children but very enjoyable. The other showed how forest fires are fought. It was extremely well done, very informative and a bit frightening. The exhibit of the planes was fascinating. Plenty of technical information for those who are so inclined but also lots of stories and anecdotes to bring... More

Not sure what we expected but were not overly impressed. A number of old bush planes and displays but found it all rather boring.

The displays and information give a really good perspective into the way the bushplane pilots were used in taming and maintaining the northern bush areas.

This is a great place to take the family to visit the museum. Hands on activities and you can go in some of the old bushplanes. This is also a great venue for weddings. They have also had other public events here such as craft shows, bridal shows and military balls.

If you have about 4 hours to spend in a very informative enviroment, the Bush Plane centre is the place to go! Not only are the displays interesting, most of them you are able to enter, look around and experience first hand how the plane "feels". There are also two theaters for your viewing enjoyment showing how the forestry service... More
