The museum is a bit small but well kept, very interesting, interactive, and teaches you a lot. We went through the various exhibits, sat inside planes, watched movies, checked our aviation skills and had a lot of fun. Recommended to all, even those who would not put planes as their most appealing interest.

This is the top attraction in Sault Ste. Marie and I highly recommend one visit this museum. Many beautiful old restored bush planes used in Canada over the last 75 plus years. Interesting history with each one. Don't forget to see both of the movies which are shown too.

I love float planes, having formerly lived on an island where the only air service to the rest of the world was a faithful Beaver. Fun to see not just a Beaver but lots of others older and newer. Some you can climb right in. Cute, short, entertaining films, too. Worth the price of admission, don't miss it.

My pilot husband was enthralled, but this museum does a good job of appealing to all. There are interactive exhibits for kids, videos for a sit down break, and lots of cool facts about not only planes, but also forest-firefighting in northern Ontario. The staff are very friendly and if you're lucky they may tell you some of the amazing... More

We loved this museum. It provided a good picture of life in the north and how aviation made its impact.

My sister came up to visit me when I lived in the Soo - in the summer of 2014 and she has three children. We did the Bush Plane Museum and the kids loved it! There are movies, you can climb over many of the planes and sit inside. We took pictures - and it was a great rainy day... More

We lived in the Soo for all of our lives, and have come back to visit for the last 13 years since we moved to Southern Ontario. We had never thought of visiting the CBHC in all of those years. This year, my son broke his arm, and couldn't partake in our regular Soo adventures, so we decided we would... More

Really enjoyed our visit to this small museum. I've seen fire fighting planes in action on the news, but it was interesting to see the planes up close and to learn about how they work. A well-designed children's area offers hands-on activities including showing how an aileron works, new to me.

A great place to see the aircraft that helped build Canada's North including fighting forest fires. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, the movies were great/entertaining, the aircraft are amazing with many offering access to their interiors, and if anything an Airshow doesn't let you gauge the scale of the aircraft. I hope over the years other aircraft join... More

On the plus side, they have a fairly impressive number of planes on display for the size of the museum. They're really packed in. Also, several of the larger planes are set up so that you can enter them and look around the interior. There's also a nice little section of hands-on type science exhibits that I think are intended... More
