We shared our wedding vows and the amazing wedding experience with 75 of our closest friends & family aboard the Island Princess this past July 11th, 2014. It was professionally handled with great attention to every little detail. They handled absolutely everything from the decorations, to the food, to the DJ, etc....well worth the price! We could not have asked... More

We had a great time. Our captain was very informative and added humour to make his commentary enjoyable and not boring. It was very interesting to find out so much about this area. I loved going through the different locks and seeing first hand how they operated. There is a snack bar and refreshments for sale. The 2 hours just... More

This was an amazing boat tour . The guide gave us the history of the area during the entire 2 hour cruise. To see the way the lifts work up close is really neat, and then actually going through the lifts is the best part. I highly recommend doing this tour - both young and old will enjoy this amazing,... This is a must see while in Peterborough. It was a unique experience for us. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the commentary, we had the 2 guides and they were both great. Don't miss this, you will love it.

We visited Peterborough, ON specifically to see the lift lock. Taking the cruise not only let us see and ride the lift lock but we also went through a traditional lock and saw a swing bridge in operation. Our cruise captain gave an informative and humorous narrative about the history of the waterway and lock system during the 2 hour... More

This is one of the amazing engineering feats and fascinating to watch the Liftlock go up and down. I took my sister and brother in law from England on the Liftlock Cruise and they were fascinated and impressed by the logistics and canal. You actually go up in the lock while the other side comes down. The visitors centre is... More

Very interesting and relaxing 2 hours long trip. Narrative was original and you could see that Captain/Guide knows his route and loves talking about it.

Our family took the double deck River Boat Cruise which took us through two sets of locks, one being the lift lock and a swing bridge along the Trent Severn Waterway. I love the fact that to a certain degree the first lock was still manually opened and closed. The lift lock, although impressive given its history, dual hydraulic lift... More

This is one trip that is leisurely and full of interesting facts about the waterways of locks systems.Informative dialogue from the boat Captain and plenty of opportunities for pictures.Just a very pleasant way to while away the time and enjoy the company of others and get some fresh air at the same time.
