What a wonderful way to spend a summer day with your grandkids.

It's a free zoo, waterpark, playground, and nature walk. It even has a place to buy snacks. There is also a trainride which is very reasonable and the kids love it.

This is the best little zoo in Ontario, and it's absolutely free, have always love it. On Water Street on the way to Lakefield- worth the trip for children. Has a water park also.

We have been bringing our children here since birth dozens of times a year. Sometimes we focus on viewing the animals, sometimes on the playground, and sometimes we simply go for a walk near alongside the river. The grounds are well maintained. It is truly amazing to have this free zoo in Peterborough. Love the addition of the splash pad... More

The zoo itself is not massive but has some lovely animals to visit. The train is a nice way to pass some time and the slides/play places are excellent!

Great zoo with water park and mini-train. My 5 & 6 year old grand-kids loved it on a hot summer day. Small enough to walk. Shade or sun available. On-site snack bar is expensive and very limited variety.

I have always loved going to the zoo in Peterborough. I took my girls there when they were young. Our 18 month old grandson's first visit was a big hit. We visited the animals, rode the train and played in the splash pad. He was absolutely delighted with everything.

I've been going here since I was a little kid. Best free zoo around :) Great picnic area, lots of animals. Miss the old monkey house though.
