Well if u think zoo with animals pls don't waste your time . This is not a zoo . It's a picnic park . Great is free . Train ride is worst . All fake animals along train ride . Long long walk .

We went here to see what it's like, mainly because it's free. We were pleasantly surprised how good it was. Great playground for the kids, and good amount of animals. Plus a cheap train ride for the family. A must visit.

I have lived in Peterborough for 20 years and I am still amazed by the Peterborough Zoo. It is clean, animals are well tended , the activities are always being updated and maintained, and amazingly it is FREE. I have jogged through the zoo, walked through the zoo, picnicked at the zoo and was even there last night, out for... More

Almost every time we go to Peterborough, we visit the Riverview Park and Zoo. I loved it when I was a child and I now take my granddaughter there. The time before this visit, I took my granddaughter to visit Santa's reindeer after visiting Santa at the mall. It was a lot of fun even though not all the animals... More

This is a great little zoo and park for the family. The place is well maintained and a nice place to go to inside the city.

We have frequented the Peterborough Zoo many times over the years and never have been disappointed! Lots to keep the kids occupied, pleasant surroundings, right on the river for picnicking and all for free!! How do you beat that?? You can spend an entire day there, have a reunion there, get married there, play there and still go and see... More

PLUS: welcoming, easy to move around with a stroller, good paths for those unsteady on their feet. Not so good: parking at school year end is an issue.

Saw some info about it online & thought we'd check it out while we were in town. It's all FREE. Beautiful big park, lots of playground equipment, a splash pad for the kids. The zoo areas are mostly rescued animals, and there is a good variety of them - camels, otters, snakes, etc and the cutest wee monkeys. As a... More
