It's so expensive to go to the Toronto Zoo so this place is a nice break on my wallet when I take my grand kids out. A couple hours there and everyone is happy!

This is a wonderful zoo. Lots to see and the play area with new splash pad is wonderful. And, its free admission. A rare gem in the Kawarthas.

Best deal ever.. Free. Awesome play park for the kids with a really cool set of slides. Animals, a train ride and splash pad! This park is perfect for a young family. Its not too big that its overwhelming for the little ones and Grandma and Grandpa can come without tiring them out. Our favorite animal is the Otters but... More

The zoo was clean and the animals seemed to be in great shape. It was not too busy the evening we were there so had a great view of all the animals. The Barbary sheep was fun to watch as he posed for us.

What a fantastic spot to take children to for free. Great picnic areas, fantastic playground, good sized zoo, lovely grounds - all for free (where else can you find this?!). Also a lovely spot for adults to venture around, too. Nice scenery.

Nice little place to go and it's free! We walked around for about an hour and we were done. Lots of kids there when we went and they had a nice set up. I wouldn't plan more than an hour or two there.

this is a free zoo and kids play area located in the north end of the city. You can picnic there and it is a great place to bring the kids.

I loved the zoo. The animals were great and fun to see. The play equipment and water park was great too ! I love that the admission is a donation to the park. It makes it easy for families with lower incomes to have a fun outing.

The Peterbourgh Zoo is probably one of the last places you can go and spend absolutely nothing. This park has a fun filled day of entertainment. If you chose to ride the train which I recommend for the wee ones, there is a fee, but they will be thrilled with the ride. The playground, water splash pad and picnic areas... More
