Easily the best value for any attraction in Southern Ontario, if not in all of Canada. It is a great small zoo, which is free to visit and parking is free as well. It has a large splash pad for kids, which is also free. The only thing that will cost you money is a 10-15 minute train ride ($2)... More

Amazing Zoo for the entire family to visit & it is free. Staff is very friendly and the Zoo is very clean. The splash pad area is absolutely fantastic for the little ones to cool off.

Have been stopping in at this zoo for years and can't believe such a great day of fun for families is still completely free. The zoo has a good variety of animals and a terrific splash pad and park for the kids. They have a couple of donation boxes on site but the zoo is completely free. There is no... More

We had a great FREE family day at Riverview Park and Zoo last week. My daughter (27), son (15) and granddaughter (5) visited through the week. We decided to arrive after lunch, hoping it might be less busy in the afternoon. Unfortunately the parking lot at the zoo is very very congested normally, and unless you arrive at the crack... More

Every year the kids cannot wait to slide down. Must go, even for the adults:) Looks like they are expanding and building more. Can't wait to see them grow in the years to come.

I took my grandson,10 & granddaughter 7. We were there for 3 1/2 hrs. The animatronic dinosaurs were very lifelike & they loved them. A bit scary, in a good way though. The indoor reptile area was great. They were able to get close to snakes. crocodiles & alligators. There are iPod type screens with facts & info about them... More

I am very proud of this small zoo in Peterborough. It is well maintained and beautiful! You can walk around and see all the animals for free!!!! If you'd like to go for a 10 minute train ride (kids LOVE this)...it is only $2 per person. Bring a picnic along and enjoy it along side the river. A splash pad... More

How can this all be free??!! Just made a quick stop at the park & zoo on the way to the cottage and what a FANTASTIC gem of a place. Great, big, clean, new playground, small but good splashpad, fun train ride ($2 per person 3+) and snack bar. An absolute must for kids under 10 - great way to... More

As a single mom of two, I need to shop for bargain price fun stuff to do with the kids. This park is nice well maintained and there is a 2$/pers train ride. Water games for kids and a big play area. It is a great place to come with the kids and will certainly do it again :) by... More
