This museum is modern and evocative. The role of Canadians in aviation history, and the importance of aviation to a large country like Canada, are well-illustrated. Unfortunately, the experience mostly ends around 1960, with little to show about the last half-century of flight.

If you have kids and visiting Ottawa, this museum is a must. Kids really enjoy it. When we were there a pilot told them a story and gave candies. It was a big fun

Fantastic collection of older planes and helicopters well arranged with some good history about each exhibit. Gives a good sense of Canada's place in aviation history. Some very knowledgable docents were happy to speak with us.

The museum it's self is not bad but for a national museum it could have a bigger collection. If you are an aviation buff, you will find enough to keep your interest. I will recommend the biplane ride in a 1939 Waco UPF-7, which has an open cockpit. My husband and I were both in the Air Force and have...

If you or your kids like plans or aviation history, you will love this museum. You can spend hours here so there is so much to see and do, always enjoyable.

If you like Planes...this is the spot in Ottawa. Aside for an impressive selection of vintage planes on display watch for the periodic air shows they host at this site. My late father had an enjoyable moment when he saw (on display) a Hawker Hurricane like the ones he helped to build in Port Aurthur/ Fort William (now Thunder Bay)...

We have gone to see the planes a number of times. There is a wide selection of planes. Good displays of information. It is worth visiting you you like planes and aviation.

The aviation museum is well worth a visit. There are some excelllent displays and it is very well set out. Unfortunately the service in the cafe leaves a lot to be desired. The girl serving the day we were there was very rude and totally unhelpful. My advice don't visit the museum if you are hungry!

We were flying back from Toronto to Montreal in our plane that day and had some free time so decided to land at Rockliffe to visit to the museum. Parked the plane right next to the museum. A security guard came out to lead us into the museum and showed us to the ticket counter.

My guys went to the Aviation Museum while the girls attended a wedding shower. All have been here several times and enjoy it each and everytime.
