Though very nice and informative, I've been in other 'nature museums' that I've found more interesting. There was an exhibit on creatures that can illuminate and that was pretty interesting, but I'm not sure how long it was going to be there.

Took a group of forty teens over family day weekend. Wonderful museum with lots of interesting displays in a beautiful and historic building. Only complaint was it was difficult to find parking for the bus.

I couldn't believe how huge it was in this museum, there was a ton of exhibits, something like 5 or 6 levels of different things to look at. It was quite packed when we went (during Winterlude so I think people were trying to escape the cold) but once we got past the line and past the prehistoric exhibits, things... More

Nice museum. Dinosaurs, birds, marine life all awesome. The massive whale skeleton was cool. I paid extra for the "Arctic Voices" exhibition, which will finish soon but I didn't think it was worth the extra money. The museum itself was enough. Fun time with interactive exhibits too.

If you like museums, wildlife/nature whether current or prehistoric, you will love this place. Conveniently in downtown Ottawa, this is a must see if you're coming to Ottawa with children. Growing up this was my favorite museum, and I think it is on its way to becoming my sons' favorite museum.

Living in Ottawa, we have been to this museum many times, but it remains one of the places that we must take people who come to visit. With its special exhibits, there is always something fresh to see making each visit at least partially new to us as well. The building itself is beautiful and has a fascinating history and... More

The building is beautiful in itself. There is plenty of parking though it is charged at $2.50 for 30mins to a maximum of $12. General admission for an adult was $13. There are quite a few facilities throughout the building including toilets on every level and a restaurant. There is a lot of walking to do and it is based... More

Loved this museum, lots to see. Only takes a couple hours to go through. We paid an extra $4 to see the Arctic exhibit, wasn't worth it but no biggie. No complaints other than that. A Must see!
