was here a few years ago when they were working on it, and now when it is finished, looks great. Have been coming here since the 50s.

Due to the layout of the building, it's not very big. It is and old mansion that was never really intended for this use. The exhibits are good, and now that the new stair case is finished, it's very nice inside. But, for the price, it's not a lot of bang for the buck. It makes for a nice outing,... More

We've visited this museum a couple of times recently with our toddler grandson. There are metal strollers that families can borrow, but sadly, they put the child on such a low level that it was hard for him to see much, and he constantly wanted to get out. The fourth floor has a (to me) very creepy collection of stuffed... More

They had an exhibit (which was extra) for the undersea/illuminated creatures, adverts depicted jelly fish illuminated etc....when we went inside it was just nothing like what you imagined it would be - would have learned more buying a BBC David Attenborough DVD - and got change! The museum refunded me the money

It was definitely more geared to children but my wife and I enjoyed our time there too. The special exhibit was interesting, but being it was on the top floor - we should have done it first when our energy level was higher!

There is something for everyone to see at this unique museum. The day we visited there were plenty of children, I found myself captivated by several displays. I particularly enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs, the Blue Whale skeleton and the rock exhibits are exceptional. The museum is built on several floors. You can either take the steps or elevator to reach... More

Coming here is always a good time. The displays are excellent, in particular I love the dinosaur displays. There's even a full blue whale skeleton suspended in excellent condition. This museum is free to visit on Thursday evenings, except for the special exhibitions.
