Great way to see some of the city

Went in the afternoon with relatives who live in the area. Very relaxing. They take their time and do a good job of explaining all the sites. We went on the one at 2:00 pm, and it... read more

We wanted to go down the Rideau really but booked this anyway. They were nice enough the guide was a little sarcastic which may have been lost on the non English speaking members of the tour. The views are good but it was too long and I have to say a water taxi may have been a nice quick way... More

The views from the Ottawa River are one thing, the information (in flawless English and French) is basically the chocolate whipped cream on top. The hour and a half fly by, and you can listen to the information and ask questions, or just sit back and relax. You'll see the Rideau Falls, all of the bankside buildings and architecture, and... Went in the afternoon with relatives who live in the area. Very relaxing. They take their time and do a good job of explaining all the sites. We went on the one at 2:00 pm, and it wasn't very crowded. Good value for the money. Took about one and a half hours.

$22 senior's rate for 1 1/2 hour boat tour. Tour guide very good and all staff very friendly and helpful. A long walk down a sloping hill to get to boat dock, not good for one of our party who has a heart condition. When we asked about an alternate route to get back to our car after the tour,... More

For a break from an active day this was a reasonable tour of Ottawa and Gatineau by the water. I would suggest sitting on the right hand side and near the back as the narrator and the speakers at the from were rather loud. There were some interesting facts and it's a unique view from the water but it's not... More

We got on from the Hull Marina which I HIGHLY recommend as it was much less crowded than the one in Ottawa. The boat picks people up from each marina and sets off on the cruise. It cost $25 for adults and $22 for seniors. Not sure about the cost for children but it is less than adult/senior tickets. The... More

What a wonderful way to spend a few hours on the Ottawa River learning some of the unique places and history of the area. There are several boat rides a day, so you will have plenty to choose from. The guides are helpful and friendly. However, I asked where to sit to take the best pictures. I was told “anywhere.”... More

We enjoyed a trip along the Rideau Canal in unusally warm Autumn Sunshine. This allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the sights along the canal and the Autumn sunshine The commentary was both entertaining and informative but I can imagine not all would enjoy the jokey relaxed style. Whilst there no particularly spectacular sights along the route there are... More

We enjoyed a trip along the Rideau Canal today. The commentary by Rochelle was both entertaining and informative. There are also some good photo opportunities along the way especially with Autumn Colours right now. We would recommend this 1hr cruise as a great introduction into this UNESCO world heritage site.

This is a great way to see the sites along the Ottawa River, the guides are very knowledgeable and more than happy to answer questions. The boat is well equipped with snacks and bathrooms. You can get a combined tour bus tickets too.
