I have been coming to this museum since I was a kid. My kids love to interactive displays. They can spend a whole day here. We visit everytime we are in Ottawa. Buy the annual pass and it will get you into museums all over the world. We travel a lot so this in invaluable. Lower rate if you live...

Shocking. Im sorry but an animated video of a boy and girl masturbating does not constitute either "Science or "Technology" to me, and I am appalled that my taxes are helping to fund things like this. Anal sex talk to a minor should also be unacceptable. A museum usually focuses on things of the past.(like old fashioned morality?) or proud...

Parents should be duly warned before forking over their money that as of June 01, 2012 the museum has a sexually explicit exhibit featuring kids masturbating, describing 'alternative' sexual relations, and featuring life-size full frontal nudity. The exhibit is supposed to be for children 12 years and up, but just the idea of all the pervs there checking it out...

This is a great museum for all ages. Our two-year old enjoyed the hands-on experience in most of exhibitions. The adults could appreciate it more into detail when they are on their own, of course, but is a very instructive experience, resonably priced (that refers to the free parking as well).
The other facilities are very handy and I would...

Great place to go to when in Ottawa.
They have a nice variety of shows that kids as well as adult would enjoy.
Small in size compared to other museums in bigger cities but big enough for Ottawa.

We visited the museum with our 4 year old and his 2 year old cousin. It was amazing - totally hands on, and very kid-friendly. The entire museum is set up this way so you don't have to hunt for the child appropriate areas.
Parking is free (bonus) and there is a nice outdoor area too (more of a bonus)...

This museum is OK at best. A number of exhibitions are old and need to be updated. I have to admit I haven't been in a while but for a reason; when your kids can't wait to leave a science museum you know something is missing.

Although this museum might have been relevant back in the 70s and 80s, it now is completely outdated and seems to be stuck in a bit of a time warp. Some of the displays will likely appeal to younger children, but even that is limited. My son likes the crooked room and riding in the car and skidoo, but aside...

This museum has so many hands-on exhibits for children of all ages. The only down-side is that there is only one snow-machine ride, and the line can get pretty long.
