I actually live in Ottawa and I always like to go see the parliament stray cats. Behind the main building on the left, you will find cat houses with, at times, around 20 cats and an 80 years old guy that feeds and cares for them with donations. I think it's great to see that the parliament accepts this and... more

We went to Parliament Hill the day after Canada Day and it was fantastic. We roamed the grounds, looking at all the statues of some of the important figures from Canadian history. We took a lot of pictures of the East, Centre, and West Blocks of the Parliament Buildings because the architecture is amazing. We went to the information tent... more

We took the interior tour, as our guide Craig with Ottawa Walking Tours had covered the exterior quite thoroughly. The Parliament complex is truly the focal point of Ottawa. The architecture is incredible and beautifully situated along the river. The guided tour is very interesting and informative. The library is magnificent. Parliament was in session during our tour so we... more

In addition to the beautiful grounds and stratuary outside, take the interior tour to see the House of Commons and its foyer, the Senate and the Library of parliament. Go on a weekend to get a complete tour. If you do, remember that the business side of downtown Ottawa clears out and it is easy to park for free on... more

if you are staying in Ottawa for a few days, see the changing of the guards one day and do the guided tour of the Parliament another day, because if you go on a guided tour while the changing of the guards is on, the groups are much smaller and you don´t have to "fight" with 40 other tourists to... more

I wish that we would have had more time to actually tour the Parliament building, but we were just there for a photo stop. We were very impressed with the architecture and layout of Parliament HIll though, and the Centenniel Flame was also a sight to see. Others in our tour had taken the guided tour of the Parliament building... more

Sep 1, 2005. Gray Line tour of Ottawa. Our first driver, Ron, picked us up at the motel at 9:15 and took us to the Kiosk to purchase our tickets [$52 with tax and discount, good for 2 days]. First tour starts at 10:00. Ron suggested we ride along for the full 2 hour tour to become acquainted with the... more

we were very impressed with everything about the parliament hill trip, ....right from the tour to the changing of the guard. The structure of the building is absolutely beautiful. We watched the light show which was amazing. The changing of the guard was really something to see. We really enjoyed our trip, not only to Ottawa , but seeing everything... more
