Overall a great and pleasant experience to visit Ottawa on May. Have been to The Rideau Canal, Parliament Hill and part of the huge crowd enjoying the beautiful tulips in sunbath. It was a casual walking tour. Drove from Toronto to Ottawa in 4 hours with two drive through. Suggestions for casual tour people if you are a first time... More

Although early in the tourist season, Ottawa Walking tours arranged a private tour for us. Allison did a great job in chilly blustery weather. We appreciated learning about the history but also gaining an insight into Ottawa today: the demographics, culture, etc. This is a great first day activity to get your bearings and learn about the city. Craig, was helpful... More

I took 16 high school students to Canada during a part of the year when many normal travel services weren't available. I was told more than once that "we don't do walking tours during this time of the year". I don't know if it was the time of the year or the size and make up of our group but... More

Craig did a fantastic tour for us on a cold winters day. He answered all our questions and gave us great recommendations for places to eat at the Byward markets. We had a small group so we were able to go into shops for part of our tour to warm up while we were learning about the history of Ottawa.... More

Although I am from Ottawa, I had no idea how much historic value my city is. I recommend this tour for anyone. Try the Haunted Walk of Ottawa.

I feel bad not being able to remember our tour guide’s name (Craig?), but he was absolutely great! Knowledgeable, friendly, fun to listen to. My husband and I ended up in Ottawa (unplanned) and only had one day. We looked up Ottawa Walking Tours, and are so happy we were able to join a morning tour. It was just us,... More

Craig MacDonald is the owner and the guide for ottawa walking tours.we met in front on the visitors center by the terry fox statue.the price was $15. He talked a lot about the government and architecture. We walked behind the Parliament building and peace tower to see where the 4 rivers meet. The view was very pretty. We also went... More

We enjoyed a private tour with Allison today and learned some of the basics about Ottowa. It was very interesting to learn about the Irish, French Canadian and British History and the Politics especially the 5 Suffragetes. We would recommend this tour to give you an good introduction to the city.
