The Automotive Museum across the road from Memorial Park is an often overlooked historical gem featuring hundreds of vintage cars including the famous McLaughlin Buick. Even if one is not particularly a lover of historic cars, this will peak your interest. You will be impressed with the quality and beauty of these old cars. A must-see!

We dropped into visit while in the east end - the website showed the museum as looking quite different (bright, cars all lined up neatly) than it actually does. I was surprised to find it so dark - so much so that it was tough to see the details of the cars on the second floor. I'm not sure why... More

Visited with my husband and 19 year-old son who has studied automotive, powersport and motorcycle repair. We thoroughly enjoyed the collection from international models, to Canadiana to rare models such as a historic firetruck, a De Lorean and an amphibious car. If you love vintage cars or are interested in the history of the automobile, it is a great place... More

I took my daughter and we had a great time, it doesn't take very long (30-45 minutes) and it's very inexpensive too. They have a wide range of cars and some pretty neat stuff so we really enjoyed our stop over.

The cars and vehicles are a wonder to see, but it is very stuffy, dreary, almost boring. They need to liven it up a bit!

Thank you for your feedback. We are undertaking some renovation work this summer to brighten up the museum with new paint, lighting, and furniture. Visit again soon and let us know if you have any other suggestions. More

A great place to take the family. Not many automotive museums around anymore, so make it a point to visit as soon as you can. Well worth the small price of admission. Great to see a super ultra low milage Delorean !

Housed in a former car dealership that dates to the early 20th century in downtown Oshawa, this museum has been on our list of things to do "one of these days" when in the area. Thursday past was that day! The autos on display are in themselves, interesting and rare. I was pleased to see they were not recently restored... More

It's a great place to see some old car history & how much the vehicles have come along with todays technology. It would be nice to see a little more care taken of the vehicles, as some of the tires are flat so if they won't hold air maybe they should block the vehcles up so they arn't sitting on... More
