Despite it raining when we left the dock this dinner cruise turned out to be very nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Dinner was ok. Would say 3.5 out of 5. Everyone on board was celebrating something...anniversaries and birthdays. And as the sun set the clouds broke up and gave us some very nice pictures. Overall a good alternative... More

Crew and Captain were friendly and accommodating. It would have been nice to have had direct access to the island, but the cruise around it was still pleasant.

We did the 90 minute afternoon cruise and it was quite nice. The scenery was beautiful. The food is very overpriced, but actually pretty tasty. A bottle of water was $2! Yikes. There is interpretive information being said over the loud speakers during the cruise but we often couldn't hear it when we were out on the deck.

You discover how big Lake Nippissing really is when you cross it. Simple accommodations on board with a BBQ style meal available with a cold beer. Enjoyable trip through the islands at the entrance to the French river.

Friday night, my friend booked the 4 of us for a sunset dinner cruise of Callendar Bay. We all had a wonderful time, the meal was scrumptious, the service was great. My friend ordered a beautiful sunset and we were not disappointed. And to top it off, my cousin and his wife were on board, celebrating their anniversary, so after... More

We went on the 1:00 p.m. cruise around the islands, and could not believe how beautiful the scenery was! Before we boarded, the captain offered to take our picture in front of the boat, and invited our 7 year old daughter to 'steer' the ship after it got through the islands. Staff were friendly and courteous, food was great! A... More

We took the Callander Bay / Sunset cruise. The ship was very nice, the food was awesome, the staff were all very kind. Our waiter was funny! We really enjoyed the cruise and will probably return next year. The only thing I didn't like is that there was a wedding on the second floor so we couldn't go there and... More

Been on the Chief a number of times, for personal rides with visiting friends and family, and for a few private functions and have never had a bad experience with the staff or the any reason not to be happy with the outing. This is a great way to spend some downtime and just relax and enjoy the day on... More
