Old Canal course disappointing. Greens not rolled, excessive ball marks, rain the night before and the bunkers were not raked. 18th hole shortened, no proper tee box, flag placement ridiculous, Canadian goose droppings covering the entire green many of which were dried out and at least a day old. Five hour round

Played during teh week and the four of us found that the course was in very good shape. We have played a few courses this year that are having a tough time recovering from the harsh winter but thoroughly enjoyed this course.

Short and sweet, probably the worst course for the money. So many better courses in the area at a far better value on golfnow.com. This course had all the potential in the world 27 holes, great location (other then the smell from the dump), but has always and continues to be in poor condition each and every year. Minimum $50... This was a top notch golf club years past and I always enjoyed playing it but this year it has not been up to par. Seems year to year it is slowly sliding off the radar of places to play in Niagara.

Have been going here yearly since opening. Conditions have regressed. layout is beautiful but seems as if they're cutting back on grooming. Don't seem to be getting a lot of play, maybe that's why the upkeep is failing. I still enjoy playing the course and enjoy the 3 separate courses but fairways etc. need some looking into.

We played Royal Niagara a few weeks ago and I must say I was pretty disappointed. My expectations were of the other Kaneff courses I've played. Century Pines, Royal Ontario and Carlisle. We teed off mid afternoon and the greens seemed as though they were not cut in the morning. Overall there just seemed to be a lack of maintenance.... More

The food was pretty good and the view of the lake is gorgeous! Servers are always nice and eager to please.

This course did not have a single sand trap that did not have standing water. It also is an unfair course for a number of reasons. The second hole on Escarpment has grass bunkers, two side by each about 10 yards from the green and totally not visible as they are at bottom of hill. Why put grass bunkers in... More

I have played Royal Niagara last year and what a difference. The course is in pristine shape this year. Greens are not the fastest but roll truly and the fairways are the best in the area. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We stayed in Niagara Falls and it took us only 10 minutes to get to the course.... More

Played this the other week for the first time. had always put off playing royal niagara due to feedback from friends claiming its nothing special. the course was in excellent shape, the carts worked perfectly and the staff was friendly. the problem lies within the course design. its just not the most enjoyable course to play. target golf, constantly hitting...
