We took the Travelzoo package to tour the winery, taste some wines and have a sandwich lunch. The winery tour was OK, the wines were fine and the lunch hearty. The facility is very modern and the setting was scenic. Overall well worth a visit, but nothing outstanding (well maybe the icewine). The package also included a brewery tour and... More

We visited the Niagara College Teaching Winery today and I have only positive things to say. Firstly, the design of this building is gorgeous. It uses curves and windows to extenuate the beauty of the landscape surrounding it. Each person who worked there served us enthusiastically. If you are in Niagara on the Lake and want to learn about wine... More

Stopped at both the Teaching Winery and the Student Brewery on our recent trip to NOTL. Very impressed with both. The brewery has a mix of student brews as well as teaching recipes on tap. Tried some experimental things which were great. The staff that attended us were fantastic too. The winery side of things - the wines for sale... More

Finally made a visit to the Niagara Teaching Brewery in order to slake my thirst. I could not have had a more enjoyable visit! A nice and extremely-varied selection of brews to sample, probably 10 different types of beer on that particular day. Many of the beers were very good and exhibited the characteristics representative of their distinct styles. I... More

This is a hidden gem in the Niagara area where the new and upcoming purveyors of good wine, good beer and great food are learning their craft. While wineries are the primary attraction in this area and the teaching winery is a great place to tour and sample, the real treat was lunch in their dining room which is next... More

Surrounded by vineyards and the gorgeous Niagara Escarpment, don't miss this stop on your wine tour. The staff are knowledgable and passionate about their wines. You'll not only learn about the region, but find out what makes this appellation the envy of the hemisphere. Make sure you taste the Dean's List 2010 Cab Franc Icewine - it's a delight to... More

Victoria was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Lots of selection in the store and great advice. She was able to find wines to meet our wine preferences...and was able to answer all of our questions...even the odd ones!! She gave us some great tips about pairings and tastings as well. Would definitely come back again!!

I have always held Wall's Drugs in South Dakota as the benchmark for this title. However, friends told us about Niagara College and the donuts available at Bench To Go, located just outside their beautiful Benchmark dining room, and I'm delighted to report it's worth stopping in on our way from Toronto to Niagara Falls. We also purchased fresh baked... More
