Colaneri is a new family-owned and operated winery that hand-harvests the finest grapes to produce premium VQA award-winning wines from its surrounding vineyards. Most of the wines are made with the traditional Italian appassimento style of drying grapes, including a large portfolio of red, white and dessert wines. A new series has been introduced, made in the “recioto” style of making dessert wines. The winery is built in the Romanesque style featuring a captivating panoramic view of the vineyard and escarpment atop the St. David’s Bench appellation. The wine tasting bar overlooks the production area, allowing visitors to see the process. We, La famiglia Colaneri, are always on hand to share the experience and the passion that went into the making of our wines and our winery.

We stopped by after going to Chateau des Charmes vineyard so maybe that is why we did not enjoy this visit as much. The staff did not really engage us like they did the first time when we had Chris help us. However the red wines are fantastic. One thing that did not sit well with us was that the... More

Have been here several times now and always impressed. Love the Carposo! Might just buy a case next time. This is a must on any Niagara wine tour.

we have stopped into Colaneri Winery several times over the last few years. the experience has always been very pleasant and we've purchased wine at each visit. it is a family owned and run winery so pretty well everyone who works there is related in some way! the last time we visited was just after Christmas. we were fortunate enough... This winery has family history and it makes it unique. Down to the designs on the bottles and art on the walls: everything is from the family. The facility is open concept to the barrels, which is unseen in most wineries. The outdoors remains unfinished, however when they do finish this facility I can only imagine the breathtaking facade it... More

Their story is worth listening too. The wines are not the cheapest but the taste is worth it. The labels were designed by a local artist and are wonderful. The dry red is the best as far as I'm concerned but everyone has a preference. The stop provides wines that are not sold on the shelf at your local LCBO.... More

This is a family owned and run winery, with smaller-batch, excellent wines. Be sure to spend time discussing the wines and the general business of wine-making with Chris (the son), who is personable and very informative. Their wines are not available at the liquour store (LCBO).

One of my favourite wineries to stop at! Popped by quick on our shopping trip. The winery itself is beautiful and quick and easy to get to off the highway.

Just my opinion, but their wines are the best in NOTL with beautiful facilities. If you dig full-bodied, rich reds, then this is your place. Their wines are made with the appassimento technique ( think Amarone - heavy, deep red with higher alcohol content ). Minutes from the NOTL exit off the QEW. Don't miss it. It's about 10-15 min from... More
