We have liked tasting 6 different wines using the coupon we have got with Shaw Festival tickets. We have enjoyed the scenery which was magnificent !

The Hillbrand Winery Restaurant with 2010 Toronto Gold Medal Plates winner Chef Frank Dodd and the Collector's Boutique are ongoing draws, while a slate of special and seasonal events - such as the summer jazz and blues festivals, blending workshops, Icewine-grape harvesting and barrel cellar dinners - keep the place hopping year-round. Winemaker Craig McDonald delivers true flavours from affordable Artist Series wines; the blended Trius Red, White and gold medal winning Brut sparkler; and the premium Showcase single-lot bottlings.

the tour of the facility was very good and informative, and unusual equipment was interesting. The wines were alright, but when one of my party expressed that a wine was not to her particular taste, the host appeared quite offended. This was rather off-putting.

If going to the area, Hilldebrand is an absolute must for dining. The wine pairing menu is fabulous and the food inventive but not too "out there". Restaurant is modern but not cold and the views are great --why go to Napa when the experience is even better at Hilldebrand.

Our host at the B & B suggested that we try the chef's tasting menu. We did and also added the accompanying wines. David provided excellent service and we shared quite a few laughs. We took the Ice Wine making tour. It was fascinating to learn about the special care for the grapes and the temperatures required for Ice Wine making.

Twice now we've came to Niagara on the Lake for wine tours. Both times we toured several wineries, and both times I have to say that Hillebrand Winery provided the best experience and offered the best of their reserve wines.

We loved the scenery and the great service. We were happy to pay for a tasting flight but the winery refused to charge us when we bought some wine (a very modest amount too). We walked up to the register fully anticipating (and happy to) pay for the flight and they wouldn't take our money. How many places do that!

My family & I had The Oakes Overlooking Hotel VIP Wine Tasting tickets for 4 Wineries (Inniskillin, Peller, Jackson & Triggs and Hillebrand). Hillebrand was our 4th stop. The place was doing the major renovation until Summer time. The wine tasting bar and products were currently into the temporary place. As least the staff was friendly with professional knowledge.
