My daughter and I attended the Strewn Winery Cooking School on July 18/15 as a special occasion outing celebrating our milestone 30 and 60th birthdays, respectively. I was looking for a hands on cooking course when I searched online and decided on the one at Strewn Winery. We could not have been more pleased with this selection. The cooking school... More

We attended the Strewn Wine Country Cooking School class last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The atmosphere was very friendly and fun, the cooking instruction was enjoyable and informative in a very easy casual manner, and the menu was amazing, incorporating delicious healthy fresh food choices, including foraging for our fresh herbs to use in the recipes ourselves in... We attended our fifth session in five years with Jane at the Wine Country Cooking School. We look forward to doing this each summer. The recipes are delicious, as are the accompanying wines from Strewn Winery. It's all hands-on cooking, which is very important. (I've attended other "cooking schools" in a the past where you simply sit and watch someone... More

We attended the afternoon class on the last weekend in June. We learned a great deal, though we found that some of the food we made lacked flavour (especially the chickpea dip/"hummus") and we definitely made way, way too much. I felt guilty about all that waste! A full post of the experience can be found on my website: http://www.delectablychic.com/2015/07/wine-country-cooking-school/

One of our goals is that participants want to cook the meal again at home for family or friends. As our recipes make 4 servings (typical family quantity) and our cooking teams are normally 2 people, there are often leftovers which are NEVER wasted. More

My husband and I attended the 4pm - 9pm cooking school, and stayed at a nearby B&B afterwards. We arrived early for a complimentary wine tasting before class, and the tasting continued throughout the evening! The cooking class was great fun, Jane demonstrates and explains tips and techniques as the group follow the recipes at their own stations in the... More

This past Saturday was our third trip to the Wine Country Cooking School. It is a 5 hour fun filled experience in which the participants cook all the elements of the meal from appetizer to dessert and then eat them pared with wine. It stands alone in that regard since most schools just demonstrate cooking an item ( you might... More

We went as two couples to celebrate one special birthday. First such experience for all of us. We men felt prepared to almost suffer through in order to give our wives who are great cooks a unique experience. We were really taken by surprise !! We had fun!! The ladies loved it and so did we. We met great people... More

This was mine and my husbands first cooking class and it definitely won't be the last! We love cooking at home and thought this would be a great hands on experience for the both of us and it totally was. We arrived not knowing what to expect and we were intimidated thinking all the other cooks would be more skilled.... More

My wife and I attended the Wine Country Cooking School at The Strewn Winery for a second time in May 2015 and it was again fabulous. The leader for the cooking school – Jane Langdon – is excellent and provides a hands-on experience with recipes that are unique and “re-produceable’ when you get home. Jane has a wonderful approach that... More

We arrived at Strewn not knowing what to expect. We were met by very friendly staff. The facilities on the inside were amazing. There is a fully equipped kitchen with enough space for each person to have their own station with their own equipment. We were met by a very peppy Jane. She is a phenomenal cook and teacher. She...
