Our second trip back to the cooking school on Strewn Winery was a wonderful experience! The grilled butterflied pork tenderloin with fruit salsa was a hit with us, so the day after we returned home, we prepared it for our daughter who comes for dinner every Tuesday night. She agreed that this recipe is a keeper. I'm also looking forward... More

My husband and I attended the Strewn Winery cooking school in August to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We had a great time at the cooking school. Jane came up with a very easy and delicious meal for us to follow - I especially liked that we used local fruit (peaches from their garden!) for the stone fruit salsa. She... More

We took this class with our 2 daughters for something unique to do and had a wonderful time. Arrived 20 minutes early to enjoy a complimentary wine tasting. Jane is vivacious and knowledgeable and we felt very welcome. Joe had all kinds of interesting facts about wine and would answer any questions that we had. Started off making an appetizer... More

We had a blast! We prepared a full meal, including a Goat Cheese & Sundried Tomato Spread, fresh Salad with Green Goddess Dressing, a Marinated & Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Apricot Chutney and sides of Sauteed Spinach and Minted Couscous, and for dessert, a French Sabayon with fresh peach slices and berries! Everything was made from scratch with local farm... More

My daughter and I attended the Strewn Winery Cooking School on July 18/15 as a special occasion outing celebrating our milestone 30 and 60th birthdays, respectively. I was looking for a hands on cooking course when I searched online and decided on the one at Strewn Winery. We could not have been more pleased with this selection. The cooking school... More

We attended the Strewn Wine Country Cooking School class last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The atmosphere was very friendly and fun, the cooking instruction was enjoyable and informative in a very easy casual manner, and the menu was amazing, incorporating delicious healthy fresh food choices, including foraging for our fresh herbs to use in the recipes ourselves in... We attended our fifth session in five years with Jane at the Wine Country Cooking School. We look forward to doing this each summer. The recipes are delicious, as are the accompanying wines from Strewn Winery. It's all hands-on cooking, which is very important. (I've attended other "cooking schools" in a the past where you simply sit and watch someone... More

We attended the afternoon class on the last weekend in June. We learned a great deal, though we found that some of the food we made lacked flavour (especially the chickpea dip/"hummus") and we definitely made way, way too much. I felt guilty about all that waste! A full post of the experience can be found on my website: http://www.delectablychic.com/2015/07/wine-country-cooking-school/

One of our goals is that participants want to cook the meal again at home for family or friends. As our recipes make 4 servings (typical family quantity) and our cooking teams are normally 2 people, there are often leftovers which are NEVER wasted. More

My husband and I attended the 4pm - 9pm cooking school, and stayed at a nearby B&B afterwards. We arrived early for a complimentary wine tasting before class, and the tasting continued throughout the evening! The cooking class was great fun, Jane demonstrates and explains tips and techniques as the group follow the recipes at their own stations in the... More

This past Saturday was our third trip to the Wine Country Cooking School. It is a 5 hour fun filled experience in which the participants cook all the elements of the meal from appetizer to dessert and then eat them pared with wine. It stands alone in that regard since most schools just demonstrate cooking an item ( you might... More
