Clifton Hill is tacky and trashy. Filled with cheap tourist shops, over-rated arcades and the world's worst contrived entertainment experiences (Ripley's, a maze, a freak show, etc.). There's really nothing redeeming here (except for Starbucks - one of the few places in Niagara Falls to get a decent coffe). Add on top of it, thousands of wild kids and terrible... more

We enjoyed Clifton Hill, except for the crowds of people spilling over the sidewalks and into traffic. This is not a location for the claustrophobic! We very nearly saw a small child get hit by a car after his stroller started rolling away from his mother and into the traffic. They should close the main road to traffic during the... more

As others have said, yes it can be tacky, yes it can be pricey, and yes it can seem like a tourist trap. But like every attraction it is definitely what you make of it and by doing some research and getting the facts you can avoid wasting time and money at attractions you won't enjoy. It should be understood... more

Clifton Hill is the definition of tourist trap. It is tacky, void of any local charm, and of course, overpriced. It's like a child's version of Vegas with enough neon to see the street from space, kiddie casinos(or arcades as they are commonly referred tp), wax museums where the wax figures bear anywhere from a slight to absolutely no resemblance... more

Clifton Hill is very nice, with all its lights and sounds, kind of like a little Las Vegas, but having a young child, therefor a stroller, i found hard to circulate because there were so many people and also im not one to like big crowds so...and everything is sooooo expensive over there. If you're gonna go, try to at... more

This place is full of tacky shops, crazy museums and haunted houses. Most of the places are not cheap, but if you browse around you won't spend money too fast. There are too many attractions to review them all individually here, but the general guideline would be to avoid places that don't show you much of what is inside unless... more

Our family just got back last night after a 3-day stay in NF. We loved Clifton Hill. While seeing the Falls was amazing, my kids loved going to Clifton Hills. You need to limit yourself to the number of attractions or you will go broke. We decided to allow our kids to do two attractions. My wife loved the shopping... more

I'm not Canadian, but I can't imagine any city counsel getting together and planning this sea of Cheese! It is like all of Las VEgas, inside and outside of casinos, squeezed into 3 blocks. I think every Fast Food franchise is present, 3 or 4 haunted houses, about 7-8 wax museums, a few Ripley's museums, a few other 4-D theatres,... more

Our reason for vacationing there of course was to visit the beautiful Niagra Falls. Never heard of Clifton Hill until we arrived at our hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott, which was located right there. One word- TACKY! What is up with all the haunted houses? Also, walking down the strip are numerous cigarette shops, one in which it is named... more
