While I enjoyed walking around the botanical gardens and appreciated that admission was free, I was not impressed compared to other botanical gardens and arboretums we have been to, such as the botanical gardens in Montreal. It was nice to wander there for about an hour. The map was a bit confusing (we and others did not find it helpful).

Take one of the Niagara buses to these botanical gardens. It's a beautiful place to stroll among several gardens. There are also activities for kids - and a small cafe with pretty good ice cream.

Once you pay your $5 to park the gardens are free. When you enter you should know that the arboretum is to your right and the flowers and gardens are to your left. We entered and went right (no hand held map and we didn't pick up from the large one) that the right was simply trees and no flowers.... More

The gardens are run as part of a local school. Incredibly well maintained with many beautiful varieties of plants to enjoy. Pack a blanket and a picnic:)

This garden is very nice. You can stay here the whole day and relax. Flowers are blooming and trees are large enough to cover the sun, so family can enjoy even though the weather is hot.

* What a beautiful garden spot to show off all the flowers, shrubs, herbs, trees, vegetables and just about anything else that grows from the ground. First and foremost this is a school to teach botanical skills and what a marvelous teaching area they have. The trails and paths between the various gardens are impressive and just beautiful. The Butterfly Conservatory is inside this attraction. It's fun to walk around and look, but frankly the gardens in the regular parks and especially Niagara on the Lake are so spectacular, this is not as exciting. Still, you're there.
