We got there just at it began to rain. They have a horse drawn carriage ride around the entire park, so instead of having the 80 year olds walk in the rain we got them tickets for the carriage ride, which they greatly enjoyed. We wandered through the gardens with umbrellas, until the rain stopped which had brightened every thing... More

Home of The Butterfly Conservatory, (extra $) the second most beautiful setting after the Falls! Parking of course extra like everything in the Falls Region.

It is very beautiful here and very relaxing to wander the grounds and see all the beautiful ponds, flowers and trees. They kids love it - we see all kinds of frogs. They do have washrooms; but, they are not really nearby, going are going to have quick a walk to get to them. They also do have a restaurant... More

Beautiful flowers. No weeds at all. Very well maintained. So relaxing to look at the beautiful flowers with the birds chirping in the background on a nice sunny day with a light breeze.

For a person accustomed to the sea, sun, beaches and the heat, to come to a place where you can appreciate the wonder of nature completely different to what you know is an unforgettable experience.

The flowers and trees of this garden area are absolutely stunning. Stop to smell the roses (the many, many kinds) and discover some of the lesser known species of plants (like the PawPaw). Too many different species of trees to mention, but all aspects are great.

Had a lovely stroll around the gardens today. Very well kept and an amazing variety of plants. The gardens are serene and plants are well labeled. We went as a side to the butterfly conservatory but we're very glad we did! Enjoyed it as much as the butterflies for sure. The kids were not into all of it but did... More

Very large so wear comfortable shoes. Free to get in but $5 to park. Rose garden, formal garden and herbal garden were nice. Sadly there is no Japanese garden and the aviary is empty.

The Botanical Gardens are always a cheerful and refreshing place to go. The gardens are creative and have themes for the different times of year.
