A beautiful 2 story butterfly arboretum, with hundreds of butterflys and moths. Was lucky enough to see one emerge from it's 'shell'. Some of the younger kids appeared to be afraid when the butterflys flew close, which they often do, so I would talk to youngsters to make sure they understood the harmlessness of butterflies.

This is quite a relaxing place to be. The climate is automatically controlled to protect the butterfly environment. There are so many varieties that it is quite astounding to see all of the different kinds of butterflies flying freely in a safe environment, especially since not all varieties exist on their own in Canada. My father was incredibly amazed and... More

I visited the Niagara Butterfly Conservatory recently with my family and found it to be quite interesting. It was a cloudy day on our vacation so we decided to go here because it’s a great indoor activity. My first piece of advice for anyone going is that if you’re afraid of butterflies this is not the attraction for you! From... More

a bit pricey, but if you've never been to anything like this, it's worth it. I suggest you go in the winter. The humidity and heat is a bit unbearable in the summer.

Enchanting! My husband and I went through the conservatory. You get real close and personal with all of them. Such a wonderful variety too. We especially liked seeing the larvae stages and saw one butterfly get launched. The preview presentation didn't seem to hold anyone's interest. We also loved the gift shop and picked up some souvenirs.

Very informative and nice variety of butterflies. The walk through the conservatory was well laid out and relaxing.

We have visited butterfly locations before and only see a few here and there. This place has plenty to see and interact with. Quantity and quality will not dissapoint for the conservatory.

We have been here before. My 7.5 year old and I really enjoy this place. However, the price is really expensive and they charge you $5 for parking. I couldn't find any coupons. Takes about an hour to go through. Wish they provided a paper to identify the butterflies and/or plant specimens.

This was a wonderful place to visit. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful butterflies, but very humid inside. If you have breathing problems (Asthma, COPD, etc), it may be difficult to stay in for a long time. Butterflies fly ALL over. They land on you; your arms, your hair, your back. It really is amazing. PLEASE be careful where you walk or sit,... More
