Amazing House

This is a beautiful house with a rich history. The guide was very informative and I loved that most of the artifacts are original to the family. Worth the visit!!

This is a beautiful house with a rich history. The guide was very informative and I loved that most of the artifacts are original to the family. Worth the visit!!

went with the school assisting chaprone for the class (gr 4)- kids loved it, lots of history in it, well presented, well preserved

If you have read Mazo de la Roche or watched the Whiteoaks of Jalna series a visit to Benares House is mandatory. I drove by it for years without going in. If you love PBS period dramas (Downton Abbey) or shows like Murdoch Mysteries, you'll love exploring this Museum in the former village of Clarkson.
