It is a Unesco world heritage site, now restored to top condition and with period dressed well spoken guides and a great view. With a relatively new Discovery Centre and a variety of restaurants, it is an interesting military fortification. In the summer when the Sunset Ceremony is on, it's well worth taking in that too. With well trained military... More

Visited there on our way to US from Canada. Very nice place. The Army platoon over there are very much helpful and take grate effort into explaining this. The view of the bay below is nice too. Good place to visit with kids.

We arrived at a Fort Henry to see and learn a little Canadian history on our eastern trip. Once inside our "private" began the tour. She was dressed in uniform and a pleasant demeanor. Our history lesson began and for a full hour our guide filled our heads with excellent history and a very light sense of humor. The tour... More

It has been many years since I walked through the narrow, low ceilinged cobblestone tunnels(walkways) 20+ must be.I am still enthralled with the ambiance, pagentry of this great Fort. This past week Mother Nature certainly wasn't happy. This past Wed ( 20th) we took our grandson (from Alberta) to the Sunset Ceremonies. Not much at all of a sunset ha!... More

We visited Fort Henry on a Saturday in August. It was busy, but not overly so. We took in the guided tour, led by a very enthusiastic young woman who did a great job. The tour is well worth it, but if your tour group is large you may want to re-trace your steps afterwards to get a better look... More

After 50 years I returned to visit Fort Henry and how different it was now than then. As a school child you don't appreciate history and all that it tells, but now I thoroughly loved it and my boyfriend was amazed.

We did not take a tour of the inside of the fort as it was too late in the day however the grounds, view and museum were tidy and the staff was helpful in referring us to a wonderful local restaurant.

My daughter and I did this creepy walk of Old Fort Henry. Out guide Adelynn was wonderful. Her story telling is amazing. Very creepy because it is so late at night but the night we went is was very cloudy and damp and windy. It was the perfect backdrop for this spooky experience. If you like to get spooked then... We visited Fort Henry on a family vacation with a group of 14. It was well worth the trip from Clayton, Ny. The new interactive part at the entry was Excellent. We then ventured into the Fort and followed the guided tour. Our guide was very engaging and did a wonderful job. After the tour we walked around on our... More
