This island with its gently inclined hills and twisty shoreline roads offers some of the best cycling anywhere in the area. Some fine hidden beaches as well as limestone shelf to sample the water when you get too hot. More

Take the ferry across the lake to the island and it is like visiting a small town far away from Kingston. Viewing the wind turbines is something else(whether you agree with them or not!). More

Relative to the Gulf Islands in BC, there's not much to see and do on Wolfe Island. Big Sandy Bay is great, but the town doesn't provide much...But the ferry is free and scenic (unlike in BC), so makes for a nice day trip! More

Not many to see in the Wolfe Island and rarely you could see people or car as well in low season, though the 20 mins cruise on Lake Ontario was enjoyable and from where, you could take photos of Fort Henry from afar. This would also serve as a little taste of thousand island cruise at no cost. The gateway... More

You can't appreciate Wolfe island during your 30 minute wait for the return ferry. They have a great farm tour, beautiful sandy beach, quiet roads for biking, lovely coves for kayaking, great Bison burgers and sweet potato fries with a view of the water. We love using it as a base to then go on day trips to explore kingston,... More

Enjoy the relaxing Wolfe Island ferry trip over to the Island from downtown Kingston. Busy in the Summer so get there ahead of time to ensure you get on. Big Sandy Bay on the West end of the Island is an amazing spot, sunsets to die for...Golf Riverfront course, nice par 3 layout and enjoy the windmills on your way... More
