We specifically visited this park to do some trail hiking and geocaching! Being out of season cost was a flat $10 to enter - this did not bother us at all as we love to support the amazing parks in our country that get limited government funding! The park was very quiet when we went - only in the day... More

This was the first time at this park and was pleasantly surprised. There is so much to do here and the beach area is kept beautifully. We will definitely be coming back.

Used to go here all the time on school trips, loved the swimming and quiet setting. Nice place for a family outing.

We had a great time for 3 days, really enjoyed the beach, canoeing and fishing. Poison ivy all around our campsite and on the hiking trails caused us to end our trip too early. While park staff kept the campground and beach clean they should do more to control poison ivy around the campsites and hiking trails.

Valens offers so many things to do, they have a great camping area, beach, trails, bridge over the water, go for the day or stay for the weekend, my two little boys love going to valens.

We have camped here for the last 5 years, if you camp in the older section the sites are welled tree and some are excellent for privacy. The fishing is just okay but great for kids as they can catch small fish all day. THe beach area is excellent with sand and then a nice grassy area with some nice... More

Pleasant conservation area. They have a decent store with nice washroom facilities near the beach. The beach is average and the cleanliness of the water can vary at times due to many conditions. The campsite are average and they have a good play area in the middle for activities.

I should rather say hanging not camping because we all hung in hammocks. Great spot with indoor bathrooms a few steps away with hot water. This was a great spot to test out some cold weather gear as we had our first snow fall of the winter. They charge per site and price is not bad if you bring a... More
