This is a well preserved historical collection of airplanes. Any kid ought to see it. And grown ups too. The airplanes are easily accessible and you can even get in some of them. The museum is informative and full of information about the planes and what they were used for. More importantly and more interesting are the people who work/volunteer... More

I had some time off and I had thought of driving to Wright Patterson in Ohio as I love visiting Military museums but thought that going to Hamilton would be more feasible. I am glad I did. The museum is smaller than a lot of the American museums but you have more access to the displays. I timed it right... More

A group of us (13) went out to see this amazing donation funded celebration of war planes. Volunteers were working on restoring planes, and were only too pleased to share information. Our guide was knowledgeable and an experienced pilot. A nice range of war planes and an encyclopedic knowledge presented with humour made it a pleasure. We had pre booked... More

Along with thousands of others to see the Lancaster bomber off on an epic voyage across the ocean for a reunion with the only other Lancaster still in operation in the UK. Really well put together displays and loads of planes to view up close. A wonderful experience even if the Lancaster ran into engine difficulties and the flight had... More

Canadian Warplane heritage Museum has always been a place I enjoyed visiting, but there was a little bit lacking. Yes it's the largest flying museum in Canada, but there was something more that could be added. Bingo!! The latest trek of V-RA, one of only two flying Lancaster bombers, that joined the both bombers in a memorial to the Battle... More

Great place to spend a morning or afternoon. Large display of vintage aircraft. Gives me a great sense of pride seeing some of the aircraft my father worked with during WWII as a member of the Royal Air Force. Lancaster bomber......priceless.

A great place to go. Good for family and solo visits. Ever time something new and lots of stories from the people working there.

What I found amazing was the ongoing restoration projects they have on display. You certainly get the feeling of the passion they have with their collection. I was also impressed to see the number of flight worthy craft they maintain and operate. The history provided on the Canadian Air Force was informative as well. If you are an amateur radio... More

Get up close to the fighters jets and the war planes. Sit in the cockpit. Lots of planes, photos and history. See the inside of a jet engine. There is a lot of history to be found here. Talk to the mechanics and the historians. Buy a souvenir at the store then watch the planes take off from the airport.

We were very happy with the warplane museum, lots of history and planes to look at. My husband and I enjoyed our guide Ted who was thorough, answered lots of questions and had plenty of stories. Thanks Ted
