This is worth a visit as you see WW1 and WW11 war planes up close as well as planes used in the Arctic, Viet Nam and for rescue missions. Most of these planes still fly and on Saturdays there are many in the air for you to watch. Make sure you take one of the outside tours that leave on... More

If you would like to learn about Canada's Aviation Heritage, this is one of the places that you should come to. There are many planes on display and you can ask the folks there who can give you a bit of history about what you are seeing. If you plan a visit, I suggest you get there early. I got... More

I visited CWHM for their 'Skyfest' event in June 2015. Although I was disappointed that their Lancaster was not able to fly due to a technical problem, I did manage to see inside her, a great honour. The museum is full of interesting aircraft and exhibits, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's possible to get very close... More

I joined the RCAF as a pilot when I was 17 and left for commercial aviation when I was 25. I have flown 7 of the types in the Warplane Heritage Museum. In 3 cases it is not just the type but the actual aircraft that I flew. So I am biased. That said, I take young people there regularly... More

What amazing venue for my niece's wedding. A very impressive place with a romantic atmosphere, set under the wings of the planes that brought victory to the world. My grandfather worked on the Lancaster in England, and my father spent a lot of time visiting the museum on his road trips from northern Ontario. As guests of the wedding, we... More

If you are a history buff & are especially interested in the RCAF as well as some civilian aircraft this is a must place. the museum has the only Lancaster Bombers still fling on a regular basis. There is only one other & that is located in England.

I have been here many times. It is relaxing and interesting. Thing to do on a rainy or miserable day. The history is solid.
