This museum is a must for any plane lovers. The first exhibits are somewhat old and dated but then the fun begins with all the real planes. It is amazing that they all work. Seeing them yo close is a treat. Fun for all!

I drive a school bus and drop kids off there alot. I have also personally visited over the years. They continually hold various shows and events and never fail to please all ages. The little restaurant inside is also a good place to eat.

Any place that manages to keep a Lancaster flying deserves 5*. On the day that we visited, the lancaster was disassembled which in itself was cool. We wandered around and enjoyed the history. If you are a buff of 2nd world war aircraft the museum will have a couple that will leave you stumped. Recommend to staff that they more... More

The Canadian Warplane Museum is filled with warplanes of all types. Many are still flyable and are used to provide flights for a fee. When the weather permits planes may be observed flying in the area around the airport. All planes are very well preserved by the onsite staff. Planes can be observed in several stages of reconstruction. Guided tours... More

Our 9-year-old son is a military history enthusiast and was very excited about visiting the museum as part of his birthday. We had four boys with us, and they had a blast climbing into different planes, trying the flight simulators, and even holding a 50-calibre bullet! The staff were amazing - from the mechanics to the tour guides. We spoke... More

We live close by and go regularly. They have collected and renovated all kinds of aircraft in addition to the global treasure; a working Avro Lancaster. The volunteers will gladly share their passion with you and your family. School trips and other groups are hosted and can be fed and watered in the cafe'. If you are in the Hamilton... More

I have lost track of how many times I have visited the CWHM! And yet, I keep going back! So much to see and learn. Awesome for all ages! We are going on a group trip this fall with my car club. We love attending venues like this where we can go as a group and have a group tour... More

This is a great place to go with your children. Our kids just loved to see all the different types of planes that were used during the World Wars and found the historical information also fascinating. The Museum is an awesome place for children to have fun and learn at the same time.

My son had his wedding at the Museum! Amazing. Also a great outing for the afternoon to be able to climb up onto the planes and enjoy. They have a great little old school luncheon place that was licensed on site also.

My kids (aged 3 & 5) went with their grandparents and they all loved it. It is very reasonably priced, it isn't very busy so the kids can see & sit are lots of different displays. Great place on a rainy day too! Would definitely go back again....
