Museum is well laid out with personal & aeronautical info about planes. Opportunities for photos beside 1 of a kind planes including 1 of 2 operational Lancaster planes used in WW 2. Great experience for all ages.

Very good visit. Have never been and must admit that it was spectacular to see all of these various planes. Really great to see all the history. Only downfall was the Lancaster wasn't there (UK tour).

We were pleasantly surprised with this museum. The displays are very professional and well laid out. The gallery of planes is amazing. You can get so close to the aircraft (but not touch!) it is easy to imagine yourself flying these historic planes. We had a few questions and caught a volunteer walking by. He was a wealth of information... More

We live in Hamilton and its been many years since the last time we have explored the Canadian Warplane Museum. It is easy to get to, you don't have to pay to park, and the cost to get in is reasonable. We spent about 2 hours wondering, reading, taking photos and just having fun learning about Canadian Aviation. I would... More

Visited numerous times while living in the area. - A wealth of fleet of airplanes restored by volunteers to as close resemblance to historical conditions. The most well known is likely one of the only Lancaster bombers which can still fly. Family friendly as well!

This museum is well worth your time for it offers up close and personal looks at real wartime planes through the decades. Staffed by dedicated volunteers and receiving their money from contributions old relics are made to fly again. Be sure to get on one of the tours or talk to a docent to get the history of the planes.... More

Great day trip with the family. We went during a weekday to avoid the crowds and get up close to the planes. The "tour guides" are amazing. You can of course walk through on your own but to get the history and access find a guide. Robert H was stunning and a wealth of information. Thanks!

After reading a couple of negative reviews, we were expecting a quick visit. The website said to plan on 2 hours. We stayed 1.5 hours and could have stayed longer. We did have a couple of guides, but would have enjoyed our visit even if they had not been available. We were pleasantly surprised by the Lancaster take off as... More

We took a trip up this way while in the area to see the Lancaster bomber which made its way to Brittan for some airshow. What a magnificent sight it was! My husband was in all his glory as his family are veterans, and for him to see one still air worthy from ww2 was like watching a kid in... More

Only if you can't make it to the Smithsonian in Washington DC or Duxford in the UK. Still, some pretty nice planes. We were lucky to see the B-25 go on a short hop. Canada had P-51D Mustangs - why isn't there one on display here? There was the obligatory Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster, but a Mustang would have really... More
