This village is a hidden gem. Open on Sundays from 12:30-4, I would recommend arriving as early as possible as you will spend a lot of time here. Each building has a history lesson waiting for you, and you will be greeted with a friendly person dressed to fit the time and they are so full of knowledge. Another interesting... More

I visited the village for a little over an hour; it closed at 4:00; wish I have more time to cover all the buildings. The volunteer weavers, tailors, news press operator were all very engaging. I enjoyed info from the train station master, who gave me a souvenir train ticket. The gift shop is small, with a mix of antique... More

Westfield has so much going on that it's difficult to describe. I love that there are so many buildings on the site. You can travel through time and get a feel for how people lived in various times in Canada. The events have been lots of fun to attend, and my family loves the Ice Cream Festival and the Telling... So glad we decided to check out the Village. We didn't expect to spend as much time here as we did. The various volunteers who are in character for the time period of the building they are in are so informative that we found ourselves here for a few hours and did not even see all. Planning a return visit!... More

Amazing place to take your family. Fun for adults too - especially if you have every watched Little House on the Prairie! My kids I went to Westfield at least once a year when they were young. We loved it!

Seeing the people still working as they would have done in the past. Especially the blacksmith. All the shop keepers were very well informed about their profession. Would recommend going to the General store early in the visit to get refreshments and sweets etc.as this seemed to be the only place apart from the shop to get these things.

Educational for children, many buildings in the village had staff explaining what they did and how pioneers lived. Samples, old fashion candy sticks, fresh bread was enjoyed on our last visit.

I was impressed with the layout and the authenticity of the presentation. Various eras are portrayed and staff sticks strictly to character. Very well maintained grounds provide for a leisurely stroll. Bring good walking shoes. My favourite was the pharmacy. Both enjoyable and educational. Great family outing.
