I have lived in a nearby town and never seen the Gardens. When we arrived we were surprised at how large the property and is and what you can do there. We were very hungry so we headed for the tea house which was an ok place to have a tea and snack. We did visit late in the season.... More

On the day we visited it was overcast, but it trundled out nicely. They are renovating the Rock Gardens... And that is one of my favourites. At the counter it turned out that teachers get in for free. :) thanks Always a nice, relaxing experience.

Went to a wedding under a white canopy in the gardens. A beautiful setting with all the flowers and lawns around. After the ceremony we had canapes and drinks in the atrium, followed by a delicious lunch for about 80 people. Good food and wine, excellent service, gorgeous setting. A wedding to remember.

This is a wonderful place for a visit into the country without really leaving the city. The shrubs and flowers are beautifully maintained and the lawns well groomed. The ponds, lily pads, fish and other little creatures add to the welcoming serene atmosphere. However, it is big and one cannot do it justice in a few short hours. Such a... More

We attended a wedding here and had a little time to walk around and ogle the gardens....very pretty and well kept. Especially enjoyed the vegetable garden. Some quiet areas to sit and reflect plus a few things for the younger visitors, too. There are a lot of weddings there....bumper to bumper. It was a beautiful day although hog and humid.... More

something quaint and quiet. A relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy yourself and be comfortable.. The food is light and satisfying A good stop to make when viewing the gardens or just for somewhere different and out of the way to go. Moms love it!!

This is NOT in Hamilton. It's in Burlington. No matter where it is, it is a wonderful, HUGE 2,700 acre place. We spent three hours and saw just the area closest to the main buildings. Really interesting and very detailed and large medicinal garden, with great informational displays. Beautiful fountains, ponds, roses, perennials, vegetable garden was fascinating. A ton of... More

An amazing presentation of nature and art in one place. Every time I return to visit family I take an afternoon to enjoy the gardens and nature of this amazing space tucked around a booming city. The birds must be paid to sing everywhere in the landscape, adding another layer of meditation to the enchantment. I recommend the evening to... More

I purchased a membership. There are always new exhibits for the kids to enjoy. I have never taken any classes, but there are a great variety available. I do enjoy wandering the ever hanging gardens & trails. The Wed night jazz and blues concerts are great too. A clean & well run place.

We have a newborn and have made a point to be outdoors, but never factored in if good for strollers. We figured this would be a good place to try. We also found coupons good until Oct 2014 via Burlington tourism. If you do not want to eat at their restaurant, there is a diner type shack with picnic areas... More
