The weather was extremely warm for this time of year and since the gardens are mostly outside...it was pretty miserable. We did find a nice cool spot in the Tea House and enjoyed some ice water there. I was expecting something like Longwood Gardens so was a bit disappointed. But a volunteer named Roberta helped end the trip on a... More

We had visited the Royal Botanical Gardens many years ago, and remembered it as a very formally laid out expanse of roses and other shrubs and flowers. What we experienced was quite different. The rose garden at Hendrie Park is much smaller than I remembered, but still a delight to stroll through. We soon came upon a large group of... More

I just visited Canada Royal Botanical Garden today with friends. Disappointed about my trip, there was few display in RGB, weeds everywhere in Gardens, can't believe this is the Largest botanical garden in Canada, a National Historic site. The only thing I enjoyed is good weather.

What a beautiful and large place to visit. Great trails, education centre, parking and the sights are out of this world. This is a great place for a date, for a wedding, for a photo shoot. Some of the areas are like other worlds . If you think it's rows of raised flower beds in neat little rows like you... More

Every year the RBG rolls out a model train set up created entirely of natural materials. Its a sight to see, especially if you have a train lover in the family.

We took out of town guests here for an afternoon of admiring the blooms. First shock: $50.00 entrance fee for 4 of us... holy cow! Too bad the roses, our biggest interest, weren't really in full bloom yet. The irises, our next interest, were not really on show either, because of re-designing their area. Bummer. The peonies, which we were... More

Terrible service. Management is terrible. Paid to use an area but was not told that 5 other wedding parties would also be using the same space. No resolution, was told basically to "deal with it". You will not get what you paid for. Do not book here unless its free.

I have been to some public Botanical Gardens with free admission and that was much much beautiful and lovely... The fees are so expensive for the quality for this Royal Botanical Garden.

We seemed to have visited between blooming seasons, but the layout was still impressive. We spent a couple of hours in three sections of the Gardens. The visit was a good value as the price was very reasonable. We had a wonderful lunch in the Café in the Center. I would love to come back later in the summer to... More
