I would highly recommend the conservatory for butterfly lovers (or gardeners, or birders, or anyone…). It was a great place to spend the afternoon with plenty of butterflies to make it worthwhile. The gift shop and café alone I would send anyone to for any occasion! For my full review visit: http://zoocritic.wordpress.com/2014/07/07/review-cambridge-butterfly-conservatory/

Smaller than many other conservatories we have visited but less crowded, free parking, well designed and nice little cafeteria area with great food. Butterflies, moths and birds are lovely. We enjoyed our visit. Also bookable for weddings -- saw a bride-to-be on a tour,

This conservation is quite small and can be visited in a short period of time. The facility is very well maintained, with birds and butterflies for everyone to enjoy. The staff are knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. It was an enjoyable experience.

Had a nice time at the conservatory today for my 4yr old son's school trip. The only downside is it is quite small inside and very hot. Not somewhere you would spend a long time. Feel like about 30 mins is all you would want to spend inside the butterfly greenhouse without feeling like you saw it all and were... More

My favourite place to go in the winter - especially on a frosty frigid day! I go in bundled up but have a t-shirt under it all as the greenhouse area is so warm and humid. Make sure you wear bright colours - turquoise, hot pink, bright orange, sunshine yellow and lime green definitely attract the butterflies. Watch the butterflies... More

What a wonderful place for a family to gather.. We chose the butterfly conservatory as a meeting point for our dispersed family to celebrate mothers day. That specific day required reservations for the brunch that was put on in the restaurant. It was a delight, good food and wonderful company. After enjoying lunch we transitioned into the conservatory.. Immediate delight,... More

We have taken our Grandkids here, its a hands on experience for them, a butterfly will land on them if wearing light colours, also some things to touch and feel like bugs, great place for adults as well beautiful plants and lots of sunshine, birds flying around.

Our son and his wife held their wedding reception at the conservatory. The guests were fascinated by the many different species as they wandered through the main atrium to get to the reception area. The photos of the wedding party were taken in the atrium with the bride and groom releasing a small box full of butterflies. A fun time... More
