The Burlington Waterfront Trail offers an easy accessible stroll along Lake Ontario, along some of its most scenic shores. There are wonderful vistas to stop and enjoy as well as diversions such as restaurants, cafes, playgrounds, reflecting pools and splash pads. Truly something for all ages and abilities. The fairly new Burlington Pier provides a quiet place to enjoy listening... More

There are so many great walks in Burlington and really got out most nights for a nice walk. City should spend money to increase walking path's. The water front property should be bought up and made into more area's for the public.

I have been walking along the waterfront for 15+ years and I never get tired of it. I walk in the early morning as the sun begins to rise and it is so peaceful, safe and breathtaking. Unwind with nature and take in our beautiful waterfront because it is there for you to enjoy!

Right on the waterfront with easy highway access and great views of the Burlington Spit. We had a nice walk on a fall afternoon. Park seems bigger when hosting some great festivals (music, Ribfest). Parking at east and west ends, or in parking garage behind the Esso station (free on Sundays). Close to downtown Burlington.

The nicest part about downtown Burlington is that you can walk for a kilometers along the lake enjoying a breeze and perfect views. Family friendly, there are playgrounds for kids, benches for rest and beach to soak some sun.

Have taken many strolls on the trail both east and west of the downtown core. You can go all the way to the Burlington Bay bridge and beyond if you wish

The waterfront trail, you'd think would take you along the waterfront. But really all it is, is a sidewalk along Lakeshore Road. Occasionally, a park crops up and gives you a view of the lake, but if you're imagining a walk along the lake forget it. It's not. It also doesn't have a decent bike lane.

This is a great example of a city claiming its waterfront and making it accessible and attractive. We enjoyed a beautiful fall day walking along the shore. The only drawback was the wind when we ventured onto a wharf jutting into the lake. Still, the views were superb.

Thank Terry L
