Good hill for beginners. I am a beginner snowboarder, and the runs are very short, I find myself spending more time on the lifts than on the actual hill itself. lines are short, snow is plenty, however even though i'm not very experienced I get bored quick often thinking "that's it?" when I get to the bottom of the hill.

Let's face it, it doesn't have the biggest hill, nevertheless, it has some great hills even for advance skiers and snowboarders. I've been coming here for the past 4 years and stayed here last year with my family. Hotel stay was great too.

The lodging, amenities and activities were fabulous! The rooms were clean, comfortable and beyond our expectations as were the staff members. The hospitality was above and beyond, they couldn't do enough to satisfy you and your needs. The indoor/outdoor combined pool was fabulous as were the indoor/outdoor hot tubs. The sauna and exercise room were a nice addition. Our rooms... More

This review is solely based on the ski hills. I did not stay at the resort. We purchased a groupon which included skiing and tubing. I'm a beginner skier and found this place very challenging for a beginnner. I've skied serval times at blue mountain and mt st louis. I only went on the green runs. But I found them... More

Had a great day skiing with the fresh overnight snowfall. Got a great overnight WagJag deal for 1 night stay and skiing. But the resort should be able to offer another nights stay for a better price than what the deal was. Hard to pay the same price for a second night as was paid for the 1st night that... More

Visited Horseshoe Valley for a day of skiing and snowboarding with our 4 children. My 8 year old wanted to try snowboarding for the first time, opted for the beginners group lesson package which included an hour and a half lesson, equipment and beginner hill pass. First of all instructor was late arriving at pickup location. We were told the... More

Quality in service, atmosphere & food. Will not disappoint. Friendly staff aim to please & succeed. Food is a little pricey but treat yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed with family and friends in the Carriage Hills Resort only 5 minutes from the Horseshoe Valley ski slopes. Our combined skiing experience ranged from novice to expert, and overall, the 26 slopes available here really suited the intermediate skier, as the runs were quite short and not particularly challenging to the more experienced skier. Midweek skiing was very quiet... More

As a cross-country skier, I have never had such a bad experience. Our coach group were harangued several times in the parking lot by officious attendants who queried our bus driver for sitting at the edge of the lot closest to the road away from incoming cars. We told them we had sent someone to get tickets for all of... More

Our family of 4 has been enjoying Horseshoe Resort for three years know. Each year we purchase a family pass (5 X 7) and the price is always more than reasonable. We ski together one evening a week and dine at The Crazy Horse Restaurant where the food and service is always great. My husband has a flexible schedule and... More
