Killbear is beautiful, no question. I had heard that it would be next to impossible to get a site without a reservation but arriving on a Thursday, there were plenty. There was plenty of privacy, lots of beaches, some nice trails amd people were under control for the most part. I stayed in a radio free zone so aside from... More

Family thoroughly enjoyed our time @ killbear park. Beautiful beaches and things to do. It rained quite a bit while camping for a week so needless to say some laundry was needed. We used the laundry facilities within the campground, however we had to drive out of the park for some distance to get change as we could not get... More

I have camped at Killbear since the 1980's I was lucky enough to move from Toronto to Muskoka. Bears are part of living or visiting the north country. Unfortunately bears are attracted to campsites by the smell of food and garbage and by some campers not practicing good camping habits and keeping their campsites clean. To say will will not... More

I went camping for the weekend with my daughter and friends and we had a great time. There is something here for everyone from the beach, hiking, riding you bikes along the km's of trails, nature centre with lots of fun things to see and do for kids and adults and just chillin. I stayed in Kilcourise campground. I am... More

We have been to killbear every year for the past 10 years and we absolutely love it. We always stay in Harold's point. The views, everything, is great! We have had a couple encounters with bears....but you're in the middle of the wilderness. It's going to happen! Be smart and don't keep food etc in your tent/trailer and they won't... More

My husband and I just returned from a week of camping at Killbear Provincial Park. We haven't been there for quite a few years but we were happy to find the park is just as beautiful as ever. The facilities are well taken care of and kept clean. There are numerous faucets throughout the camping areas to get drinking water.... More

What a nice provincial park. It's huge. Lots of trails, beaches and camping, both for trailers and tenters. Good canopy of trees for shade when it's hot. We were there last week of June and got rained on one day so be prepared for mosquitoes if you go. I was worried about being bear proofed, but it's the raccoons that... More

Killbear is a beautiful park with excellent amenities - clean, proper washrooms, good swimming, good sized camp sites and if you're lucky - no bears! You have to pay attention to the postings and keep food tucked away tight but it's a great place to take kids. The water is clear and perfect for swimming with so many different areas... More

We have been going to Killbear as a family for a long time. We returned this past May long weekend. In my opinion, Killbear continues to rank in the provinces top Provincial Parks! Things we love about the park: 6km groomed biking/walking trail; beaver dam sunsets on the rocks; the three hiking trails each offering different but, spectacular views; a... More

Killbear provincial park is near Parry Sound. The visitor centre is very nice, with lot of educational information and this is good for the whole family. The picnic area outside is very nice as well. All the hiking trails are very easy to access and all with different beautiful views. Highly recommend!
