I visited the park in August 2014 with my boyfriend. We were both pleasantly surprised by the park. We didn't know what to expect given some of the negative media attention the park has received. However, there were many positives. Slides were alot of fun. Wave pool was a great time! We were also very impressed with the amount of... More

Went with my husband and 3 kids, ages 9 to 14 years old. They loved their day, wasn't to many people so went fast in the lines and managed to do all the slides. It is very clean and well maintained. Slides are fun and good for all ages. That said, we had to pay full adult price for all... More

How can I say anything negative. I loved it all. Family fun from 9am -7 pm. We stayed a full day all ages welcome. Bring a picnic, buy your tickets online saves you the entrance lineup that can be an hour long. Ppl grab tables and keep them all day which sucks if you want to eat...We grabbed chairs and... More

I spent the day here with my wife and two young boys in August. We went on a hot sunny Thursday and there were no big crowds or long lineups. There was just the right amount of people. My wife is still nursing our 9 month old son, and wanted some privacy away from noise and distractions so we opted... More

I will start with the negative because most of the reviews cover the great points well. The human figures on the Kongo expedition are plain racist. I was super surprised that it shows humans - specifically Africans - as spear wielding, cannibalistic caricatures. Why is this even necessary? It left a horrible impression. Nothing would be lost from the experience... More

My husband and I took our 2 nieces (ages 9 and 12) on probably one of the hottest days of the year. We didn't get there until 2:00 ( a little later than we would have liked) and had to park almost at the back of the parking lot. ( which was fine considering we got there later and at... More

Calypso park is fun everytime we go! Never any complaints. We bring a little picnic but may have a beer or two at the bar and went for dinner once. No complaints. The only thing is when you get out of the park, if you make a wrong turn, you may get lost in the woods. Make sure you use... More

So I've heard all the negative press about Calypso and people talking about law suits and such and we've been a bit reluctant to try it out. I have 2 young girls ages 6 and 10 and we generally go to Cascade but my 10 year old was at the point where there weren't enough things to do at Cascade... More

A few things have changed. Don't bother going early at opening. You cannot grab a spot on grounds to sit (i.e. picnic tables) until exactly10a.m. The area is fenced off and locked. Now use VISA or Debit instead of only cash at parking wicket ($8). Bring a cooler with your lunch, snacks. We ate lunch at the restaurant and the... More

I came with my parents to spend some quality time and we had a blast! There really is something for anyone! My father and I are huge thrill-seekers, while my mother is not. We enjoyed the rides she wanted to do (such as the lazy rivers - which were awesome - and the wave pool - which was crowded but... More
