The ferry was fun and easy to use. My wife and I got a great view of the city and a chance to mix it up with the local folks. It was a real travel deal.

If you want to avoid the parking issues in Halifax itself, park across the water and catch a ferry over.. a fast regular service that only takes a matter of minutes to cross the water to Halifax. Also used as a popular route by commuters, you might want to avoid the main 'rush hour' periods as it gets pretty busy... More

This is a wonderful way to see Halifax Harbour for a few bucks. It's not a long trip across the harbour, but you will have a unique view. The ferry runs frequently, I think every half hour, in each direction and trust me - THE KIDS WILL LOVE IT. So some on, ride the ferry and have a little relaxed... More

4 ferries cross the harbour all day and for the cost of a bus ticket this is the cheapest harbour cruise you are likely to find. On a nice day sit up top and enjoy the view.

Ferries leave at regular intervals to the other side of the harbour. A short trip of 15 minutes and a chance to have a look around before heading back. A low cost tour.

Tuesdays are free for seniors. Fifteen minute ferry ride from Halifax to Dartmouth. Ferries depart from both sides every thirty minutes. Trip was very smooth. Got to see the coastline from both sides of the harbour.

I always tell tourists to the city to spend $2.50 for the best view of the Halifax skyline and a little tour of the harbour - take the ferry to Dartmouth and back. This is a great deal.

We took the ferry over to Dartmouth and took the Historic walk and then returned to Halifax. There were ice panoramic views of Halifax Harbor from the ferry.
