The whole guided tour was way too ridiculous, absolutely wasting time and money. Sat in a room to watch a video for almost 15 mins. The whole tour was nothing about the brewery itself, normally when you go for such a tour you would love to know how they produce beer or wine, about the details of the process, but... More

This is not a proper tour, it is not even a proper brewery. All you get to see is a video (that you could just as well watch on YouTube) and some silly actors pretending to live in the time of the brewery's founder. If you have any interest in how to make beer this spectacle should be avoided. Save... More

We n3ed to say it ... the guided story tour wasnt really the best thing ... but it gives you a nice piece of history with what you need to know to settle the alexander keith's "journey" to halifax ... bit then ... for the one of us that needs a little more "tasting how to's" here you go to... More

I had a feeling that we wouldn't have seen the entire brewery but we saw absolutely nothing at all. We were put in a room to watch some video which I could have watched on you tube. Staff were all bad actors and didn't answer any questions. They were way too scripted. I heard someone ask if we would see... More

Definitely not your average brewery tour. The guides are costumed and in character the entire time. It's really more like a song and dance show than a tour of the brewery, so if you like that kind of thing, this is the place for you. You do get two pints at the end, but drink up fast, you don't have... More

I should have listened to the other TripAdvisor reviews and saved myself the admissions fee. I knew this was not a real brewery tour, but I thought it might still be fun. It was so cheesey. The actors strictly follow a script and answer no questions. And... they aren't good actors, not that they have a god script to work... More

My wife and I saw the write up on this place in the travel book and thought it looked fun. We weren't disappointed. It's sort of a period piece on early Halifax brought to life by the talented cast members who conduct the tour. You learn about the brewery and the making of the beer in a very unusual way... More

This is not an ordinary tour in a brewery but more a historical play with actors that explain you the environment in which Alexander Keith's developed his beers and its business. The tour finishes with the tasting of two ales. The tasting of the Galaxy hop and IPA ale were awesome. I regret that no displays with information on the... More

Didn't know what to expect, but were blown away by the tour - would definitely recommend! Went with two couples on a Friday evening and really enjoyed it. Think kids would like it too though. Beer samples were included which made it worth the price of admission

Down home maritime hospitality and entertainment with some history thrown in. Oh, and a sample of some of "the finest" in a typical 1860's pub.
