Absolutely loved this tour! Learned lots about the brewery, listened to some lovely music during the tour and got to try some awesome beer. Worth every penny to go.

I had a great time reenacting the olden days and listening to the tour guides sing their way through the history of Alexander Keith's. I also loved being able to sample the various kinds of Keith's, even if they were just small glasses. Overall very enjoyable.

Thanks for posting about your experience! Hours of rehearsal go into preparing for the tour -- especially the singing, which is curated from traditional Nova Scotia folksongs. We're so glad you enjoyed the tour talent! We give two samples to drink in the last half of the tour, and we've carefully timed the tour to give the best chance to... More

My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised with our experience at the Alexander Keith's Brewery. A reasonable admission fee that allows you to enjoy 2 small pints of beer, and about 30 minutes of well-rehearsed entertainment. The staff do a great job of embodying the personalities of someone who may have worked at the brewery when it was in full... More

We're so glad to hear you had a great time on the tour! The tour is definitely a unique experience, and it asks you to play along with us. Thanks for adding to the description of the experience -- since it's a little challenging to describe in one sentance. We definitely work hard to make it informative AND entertaining. During... The tour was fun - actors depicting characters in the 1860s - very cheesy, and we started out thinking we weren't going to like it all. In the end, we enjoyed it a lot. The actors were also very good singers, and I think we enjoyed that the most. A fun hour and good value. We got to sample the... More

Before I moved to Halifax a good friend of mine told me to never do the brewery tour as it was the worst he'd ever been on. Having been on plenty of brewery tours myself and not being a fan of Keith's beer at all, I didn't think it would ever be a possibility. Until three and a half years... More

Going on the Keith's Brewery tour seemed the kind of Halifax touristy thing that a local should do at least once. So I was happy to have the opportunity to do it for free at my husband's Xmas party. Not sure what to say... Extremely light on content (don't expect to learn anything much about beer, Halifax history, Alexander Keith,... More

Yes! This is by far the BEST Brewery tour I have had and the MOST entertaining. You learn history and chemistry & business in 1 hour. I highly recommend visiting this place when you have an hour to spare. Beers are not not meant to be abused. Drinking is for social gathering and it definitely delivered on this tour.

This was a great tour. You don't have to be a beer drinker to enjoy it. The brewery is the original building so the architecture is great. The tour is done by actors so you learn history of the time period as well as the history of the brewery. The actors are great and you will enjoy song dance games... More

generally love Keith's - got a lot of bars in Ontario to start carrying Keith's when I lived there, and got AST to use it - BUT: lately quality control is off - Keith's Red & the pale ale now pour inconsistently (bottles at same temp to glass of same temp) and I have had three total duds (flat) in...
