Although it is more expensive than most children's activity centres, there are many thing to do for children and you can easily spend hours there, without any trouble. My children love visiting the center every March Break, and there are different exhibits for the children to enjoy. It is educational and fun for all. It is worth the admission!

With our kids ages 5, 6 and 9 this was a huge hit. Each one had their favorite stations! My daughter (6) was stuck in the bubble room pretty much 80% of our time there and eventually mastered the over the body bubble lol. My youngest daughter (5) loved the bridge, sandbox, running by the light, and my son loved... More

Hello and thanks so much for your great feedback. We're thrilled to hear that all three of your children had a great visit to the Centre, and we're glad to hear you will be back. Our apologies that you missed the TANKED touch show - we only have two shows per day in an effort to not over-stress the animals.... More

This hands on museum is three floors of activities for kids and adults. We have come once or twice a year for about 7 years. The traveling exhibits are always winners. They have had LEGO, polar regions, technology across time, and this time "grossology" where they examined animals and their internal functions. Hint- don't hit up the "guess that smell"... More

I suggest you collect a bunch of kids, your own and may be from others on your street, and head straight to the Discovery Center in Halifax. The children will salute you for giving them the time of their lives. There is something for every child of any age and you yourself will recall your own child hood and feel... More

We went into this thinking it was more of a science museum. We were a couple in our 20's. Everything was geared for children, and they all seemed to be having a great time... we just felt out of place. Not the Centre's fault but ours. Aquarium exhibit was down when we were there too.

Thanks for your review, and so sorry to hear that you weren't aware our facility is geared to children. There are some entertaining things for adults, but I can appreciate perhaps not enough to keep you engaged for a long period. I can tell you that the New Discovery Centre will be for all ages, so there will be more... More

The discovery centre offers lots of fun for kids and adults! Ideal for family's mostly, new events happening every month. Go to the bubble room, see if you can run faster than a race horse, build a bridge then walk across it the possibilities are endless, hope this was helpful!

Price is reasonable, not great, but kids can spend about 2-3 hours enjoying lots of educational science stuff that is more fun than anything.

Loved the hands on discovery of different ocean life. Although we were not travelling with children, we enjoyed watching the young ones explore all of the activities. A great place to go with young kids especially on a rainy or overly hot day!

Good day out with kids on a rainy day. My three year old particularly liked the display of aquatic life, lego blocks, bridge and build a roller coaster. It appeared that some displays were not working or were work in progress. I really admire the effort they have put in this centre. It was a good time spent for us... More

So much to see and do for enquiring minds ! Especially the bubble room ! There was an astronomy display going on while we were there which was interesting as well. A big lego area , lots of fish to see and engineering type activities for the family, and other things ........
