Went with my 13 year old - we loved the temporary exhibition on Sherlock Holmes, and it made for a great trip. Once there we also wandered through the rest of the museum. We did find some things to interest him there, but it's mostly geared for younger kids (but would be great for them!)

This Science Center is much smaller than those present in the bigger Canadian science centers, however, there is so much more innovation and enthusiasm from the staff! The kids attending, importantly, are having lots of fun, but there is also a scientific message that transfers in every case to all age groups. Kudos- fun plus learning = fantastic!

This establishment is worth its weight in gold. What an excellent set up and just full of explorable stations for all age groups. I would recommend this spot to anyone. My son loved many of the things to do here but most of all he loved being inside of a giant bubble!

Enjoyed the displays but the center needs to be updated and staff needs to get more involved with the displays and interact with the guests. It is set up for younger kids not teenagers.

Thanks for your feedback, we appreciate getting this kind of constructive criticism. I will make sure our Visitor Experience Coordinator has your comments regarding our Interpretive staff. And we agree with you on the need for an update, which is why we're building a New Discovery Centre on the Halifax waterfront, opening late next year. It will appeal to all... More

Too expensive for a family. But very nice and lots to see an do for young children. My grandchildren all went many times with me. They loved each time I took them. Now all grown.

Hello and thanks for taking time to provide us with your feedback. We're glad you agree there is lots to do and see here, which is why we feel our price is very competitive with other Halifax family-oriented attractions and activities. Perhaps you'll be able to bring your great grand children one day! More

We love going to the Discovery Centre with our daughter and can spend hours there playing and exploring the different levels. They have inventive, fun, and informative exhibits for your children that are exciting for Mom & Dad too.

This is a great place to take young kids. There is plenty to entertain and educate (and burn energy!). We took our 4-year-old niece today and she loved it! (although to be fair, my 30-something husband seemed to enjoy it just as much :-) It could get a bit pricey to go regularly ($10 for adults, $7 for children) but... More

A great place to take bored kids! All the interactive exhibits can occupy children for hours. Bring money for the great gift shop!
