Ok place to take kids.. Not a whole lot to do. Once you go one time there is not really any point in returning

Having just visited in May, I was surprised my daughter (11) wanted to go back. There are tons of hands on science exhibits which she loved. The first floor changes exhibits frequently, which is good. I would like to see more information from the staff ,but if your kids like science definitely go.

This is a fantastic place for a family day out. While the price may seem a bit expensive it is more than worth the price. There is so much to see and do. It is an attraction that offers something for everyone. It can be challenging to find something our 12 year old, 3 year old and 4 year old... More

Took our(my partner and I) 5 nieces and nephews. It was a great day to keep them busy. However the place seems run down, well used and dirty. I was terrified to touch anything as it seemed like a day care. everything seemed to feel like it had a grime on it.....some of the interactions were great, some were poor....it... More

Hello and thanks for your feedback. You don't have to bring sanitizer as we have some on every floor! As you can imagine with so many kids in during the day the Centre can get a bit dirty, but we do have ace cleaners who try to keep it in tip top shape. Certainly the Centre is older and we... More

So much to do and see! And when you need to rest, take a load off in the Lego room and let your kid play for a long time! It's really fun when there is a particular exhibit you want to see, but we've always been able to while away a good portion of a day in this place.

This place was super fun. A bit expensive I felt but what isn`t these days lol My bf and I took my daughter and he friend here on Canada day which was rainy but cleared up later in the day for us to enjoy other activities. Our fav`s were the bubble room and the building coaster room.

My husband and I were playing tourist the other day in Halifax (being from Truro, we go there often, but don't often visit the museums or attractions) and waked by the Discovery Centre. I'd never been in before, and he hadn't been in since he was a child. I think the lego in the window caught his eye so we... More

We loved your review and hearing about your day. We agree that the Discovery Centre is a great place to play for adults too - after all, why should kids have all the fun! So glad you stopped in. More

This was not as good as it seemed online,it was very educational and my son did have fun but it was very very dirty inside like dust balls in the corners ,kind of pricey to cost three of us around $32 plus parking ,would go back if the price was not so high, but would rather go to the museum of... Hello and thanks for your feedback. We're of course sorry to hear that you didn't think that highly of your visit, although glad to hear your son enjoyed his experience. I have passed your comments on to our facility staff regarding cleanliness and we will address that immediately with our cleaners. With regard to pricing, we believe our fees are... More

Went with my 13 year old - we loved the temporary exhibition on Sherlock Holmes, and it made for a great trip. Once there we also wandered through the rest of the museum. We did find some things to interest him there, but it's mostly geared for younger kids (but would be great for them!)
