This is state-of-the-art museum in the heart of Halifax near The Citadel; admission is free. There are numerous exhibits featuring profiles on present and past sports heroes, as well as a host of audio-visual visual presentations and a multi-sport simulator for all to enjoy. The particular morning I visited there was no crowd which made it easy to see everything... More

Yes, it's free...can't say that too often anymore. The pride of Cole Harbour, Sid the Kids' display is quite well done. There are pics of Sid coming up through the ranks, game worn jerseys, report cards, stats, and the classic- his moms dryer with all the puck marks on it. Makes me chuckle just thinking about it. I like the Sidney Crosby display. It's such a great tribute to him. I learned lots about him that I didn't know. I like how you can see his old report cards and that his Mom's old washer is there too!

The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame is small, and can easily be viewed in 20-30 minutes. But the price is right-it is free-and it is interesting. Sidney Crosby dominates, and the youth photos-along with the famous dryer-make it well worth a visit.

This is located upstairs in the Halifax Metro Center, between the town clock and parade square. It has displays and memorabilia from various Nova Scotia athletes, from log rollers to horse jumpers to hockey players. There is no admission fee, so it is worth a look. They have a large display on Sidney Crosby, including my favourite item, the Crosby... More
