Since moving to Halifax, my fiancé and I have gone to the clay cafe several times. You simply pay for the pottery item you want to paint and that's it! All the paint supplies are included and you can come back several times to complete you project. After the pottery pieces are fired in the kiln they turn out so... More

This is a great experience for people with an artistic flair. It is also a great location for a date or to take kids. There is no entrance fee but depending on the item you wish to paint etc the prices vary but you get to keep what you created after it has been fired.

I have been here multiple times with my friends, it's a great little place to go visit for a quiet and artistic evening. It's good for people of all ages and they have a huge selection of figurines to paint. They also have a very wide variety of colours!

We drove to Halifax for March Break. It was our first visit to Clay cafe. At first, I thought that the price was a bit steep, but when you experience the detail and thought that was put into the cafe, it is well worth it. Tons of paint selections, lots of different brushes available, stencils, etc. We are well staffed,... More

This is a great place to go for date night. You get to do something together, there are warm drinks, NO TIME LIMITS (my favourite part!), and you can still easily have great conversations in this quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

My daughter loves this place--she's 11 and we've been going for at least 6 years. It's completely relaxed with a friendly staff--pick out your pottery (price includes firing) and then sit for as long as you like sipping coffee (Tim Hortons down the road) and painting. It can be busy on rainy days but it's always relaxing and a nice... More

Went in to see what this was and stayed for a couple of hours. I took clay figures and painted them. I did two Buddhas and they turned out great after the studio glazed them. A fun place.

If you are spending a lot of time in Halifax this is a great place to go on a rainy day. I have some pottery on my walls that my family made for us. A great place to celebrate a birthday party. Perhaps you could go in the morning, they would fire your pottery and then you could come back... More
