Lawrencetown is great for viewing waves or surfing them. But if neither are your thing and you're looking for more of sand and relaxation, likely not the place. If the water is by chance (rare) warm enough, taking a dip can be fun.

This is a nice beach to visit while driving around the south shore. It's mostly rocky but it is very beautiful.

Certainly not a beach upon which to throw down your beach towel but beautiful in it's rugged beauty, impressive surf and view of dare devil surfers.

Great waves for surfing. Better than Tofino, BC. Well; different, at least. Logan Landry's home beach for surfing, so that has to tell you something. Always a sea breeze in this part of the Atlantic although the undertow is nothing to sneeze about. Use caution.... Otherwise, great vistas and a nice hiking trail near by. Recommend a visit for whatever... More

Grew up by this beach so I cannot say anything bad about the beach other than watch out for the undertows since they can be deadly. Great beach for surfing, boogie boarding and simple trying not to be wiped off your feet by the waves!! Great fun place!!

It is a rugged beach. Yes, I wear a wet suit when I swim here, even most days in the summer. The rocks are not fun to sit on, but are so beautiful! The waves are often spectacular! Much care must be taken with children at the beach. The walks along the clifts are gorgeous, especially in the summer.

This is not the best beach on the Eastern Shore but it is close to Halifax/Dartmouth and a favourite of surfers.

Really nice beach as it stretches long. it is quite stony so bring something to sit on. Great for watching the big waves and surfers even on a cold day

It's a great beach to explore - good walks to be had along the shore and the salt marshes on the other side of the road are good for additional bird watching.
