Not far from Dartmouth, Lawrencetown Beach, has a nice sandy beach and the surfers love it. Take a sweather or light jacket as the wind could have a bit of a bite. But the view is amazing. More

its a nice beach for nova scotia but igrew up with clam harbour beach as my playground and it does not get its just desserts, its far better than lawencetown could even imagine More

It's a great, big beach with huge sand dunes. Also great winds most of the time. Surfers like it. I like to watch them. And love walking the beach. Plus it's never very busy. More

The trails connecting from Dartmouth all the way through the salt marshs and upto the beach are great. The stairs have recently been damaged in some sections of the beach access and need repairing, so go with good shoes. More

One of my favorite places in Nova Scotia. Cool if not cold water up to early August and then the water warms up and you can play in the waves for hours. Canteen and multiple surf rentals locations in area during summer. Not a great spot to take little ones swimming due to pounding surf More

A wonderful place to take a long walk, no matter the weather. Waters are cold, but in August, when the warm currents come though, you can happily swim for hours. More

Love this place grew out just up the road and still return. More
