Point Pleasant Park is a favourite of the locals and just a very nice place to spend a few hours. Within the city limits there are several miles of trails winding through the forest and lots of opportunities to walk along the harbour with water views. A great place to get a run in, take a nice stroll with you... More

Lovely park with tons of walking trails. Beautiful views along the water, Went here with my 13 and 16 year old sons and they enjoyed scaling the various ruins (especially the Cambridge Battery) and learning (from the placards) more about the history of Halifax, and WW I and II. If you're going in the summer you might be able to... More

Went here with my boss (who is also a friend) to walk her dogs. he trail is a bit livelier than I would like, but apparently going midday is less busy. There is a lot of forest area, a lot of waterside trails, and the area is warm and friendly. Also very dog friendly, and allows them to run freely... More

I love the park come summer. It has numerous walking paths. Lots of trees; some wild life - all safe. You can take the #9 bus to and from the park, but be warned that the bus only comes about once an hour (check the schedule). Bathrooms are on site. There are several historical sites within the park. There are... More

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got there, but the park is gorgeous. It's like you leave the city and enter another world. Extremely pretty, and you have to spend some time sitting near the water. Peaceful.

Begin at the Tower Road entrance if you want to walk along the northwest arm and see the ocean. If you start at the Young St entrance it takes you through the middle of the park for a peaceful walk amongst the trees. The Northwest arm section follows the coast and has the trees on the one side. There is... More

Very beautiful park close to downtown Halifax. If you're visiting the area and want to visit a park that locals frequent daily, this is a must. Perfect for a picnic, a walk with your dog, or a jog or just a wander to explore. I personally love all the waterfront pieces the most.

We visited here and it was still a little cold but a worthwhile adventure. This beautiful park suffered due to the hurricane years ago but is surging back. The scenery is beautiful and combines forest and Oceanside walking. The Martello tower and bunkers are closed to public for internal access but they are still magnificent examples of our military history
