Daniel, our volunteer docent, was wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. From Malta originally. Told lots of stories about folks he's met over the years who came through 21. If you go (OK, WHEN you go) make sure you take the tour. Exhibits are fine, but the personal touch really makes the difference. We got Seniors (barely!!) and CAA discounts both. This is... More

To an American visitor, this site is a bit like Ellis Island. Our volunteer guide Dave was great. The entire place is very well done. In addition, there is a geneology library on site. The staff is terrific. Although free, you may feel like supporting them! More

The Pier 21 was converted into a fabulous museum. I know my parents entered Canada through Pier 21 at the end on WW II. Unfortunately when I visited the Research Department was closed and therefore could not access the database. More

While the feeling was not the same as Ellis Island, nonetheless the spirit of hope, of trepidation, of sadness at leaving a familiar life and excitement of starting a new, those feelings permeate and left me moved. More

Although considered a local, I still found interesting facts and memorabilia. There are many displays and craft items for sale. A great place to walk about. More

Interactive museum for people of all ages and interests! We found our family name on the walls of the entrance. Our uncle purchased the name marker on a previous vacation, so it was cool to see it on our visit. We were also about to access public records for other family members in the archive room. The museum had lots... More
