Downstairs is like walking back in time 100 or more years ago---rooms and manicans were set and dressed for the day upstairs my family and I were able to dig back in time for our lineage that came from Digby and beyond with the masterful guidance and help of the assistants at the museum. We had already quite a bit... More

While in town doing some family history research, we decided to pop into the Genealogy research area upstairs. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.

For the size of town, it was really well done. We enjoyed our time there. If you have ancestors from the area, they offer very inexpensive research/

Even just getting to the Admiral Digby Museum is a trip and I mean trip in a wonderful way. The landscape and the people are simply amazing. Spend some time wondering about and it's a stop you'll soon forget. If you have time take some time to visit Bear River - that seaside village is a whole another world altogether.

Located on the main street diagonally across from the visitor's center, Admiral Digby's Museum is worth a visit. It is a house with some rooms set up as rooms i.e. the living room and the bedroom and some rooms used to display exhibits. In the back of the house on the first floor is a display of military uniforms that... More

It's a small museum for a small town. Will give you an idea of local history. Has a cool costume room with cloths from the 1900s

This is a small museum but it makes up for it by showing an appetizing slice of Digby history. The rooms' exhibits and information are well planned and explain much about the notable families, economy and history of the town. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and for anyone doing genealogical research - this is a perfect place.
