Great Views, Great People, Great Events

There are beautiful sights from every angle around the Bras d'Or lakes. There are a host of great events and places to discover. Even in Winter.

This is a beautiful fresh lake. There are a lot of activities to do on the water. We had planned to try some lake kayaking but the weather was to windy and cool.

Few natural sights make me as happy as seeing the Bras d'Or after a year's absence. See it from as many angles and vantage points as you can...Baddeck, Irish Cove, Big Pond...not to be missed!

Very scenic......many leisure & fishing boats.....expensive-looking cottages......Dundee Resort & Golf is at lower end.......nice course, really good food & service......situated on the lake.

We drove most of the scenic roads around this lake - we left Baddeck early and finished up in Sydney at the end of the day having enjoyed all the scenery both inland, on the water and the small fishing communities on the way.

As cruising yacht people, this is the absolute pinnacle of sailing in Eastern North America. With deep, well-marked water with numerous anchorages, the friendliest people anywhere and gorgeous scenery, it is difficult to imagine how it could get any better than this. We prefer to use St. Peter's Lions Club Marina as our "home base" for the three to five... More

As sailors, my husband and I we're interested in the area after talking to the locals. We were not disappointed. This is a beautiful place for the nature traveler though there are plenty of upscale and trendy restaurants and beautiful lodgings in the area. We found the Moon guide and Fodor's to be very accurate. We only spent 1 night... More

Again, it would have been nice to have more time in this area, but it is very quiet and scenic, a huge inland lake.
