St. Ann's College offers dormitory rooms for those who want to stay the night, or several days, using the College as a base. The Double rooms are immaculate with a small bathroom & your own shower. In the summer, bring along your own fan to move the air. Since it is a dormitory, double room means 2 single beds, so... More

We found this little bit of immersion into Gaelic (Scottish) culture on Cape Breton Island a surprise and great memory. Though a pay as you go, we appreciate why and wish them well in keeping the traditions, language, and culture of the Scottish immigrants alive and well. Especially if one has Scottish roots, this is a great place to plunge... More

We went here many years and have always loved the performances and even when there wasn't one we would go to the shop and listen to folks practicing. If you enjoy Gaelic arts this is the place. Fee for performances.

We have been to several weddings and events here. It is quite a hike from Sydney, but a great experience.

We stop at the College whenever we're on the Island just to soak up a bit of culture. There are always great events going on, interesting and informative, and the shop is excellent.

Lots of information about Scottish heritage, notably the hall of the clans, lots of atmosphere and interesting " stuff".

This is a great stop on the Cabot Trail for authentic Scottish souvenirs. From tartans to blankets, linens and jewery -- there's something for everyone.

The staff were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and courteous beyond belief. They had us posing for crazy pictures wearing comic highland hats and even posted them to the Colleges Facebook page.

We just happened by the Gaelic college in St Anns, and I'm so glad we found it. They were offering workshops to the public which we were a little reluctant to participate in but ended up going to. All the workshops were fabulous--even the kiltmaking workshop. We learned a little gaelic in one class, and participated in the ancient art... More

This is a terrific place built around the Gaelic culture. The hand make kilts, men's and women's, they offer weaving in the summer, and language nearly all year around. The staff is knowledgeable and informative. We were pleased to see young people, mostly women, working there not only managing but demonstrating dance, music and Gaelic language. They all seem happy... More
