This is a beautiful garden that I enjoyed tremendously. The roses are amazing! The variety of the different types of gardens was definitely a plus.

It was a lovely walk thru the gardens. Not sure if we were too early or too late for the blooming of all the flowers. But we still enjoyed it.

When we visited in late June, the peonies were in full bloom and many of the roses were as well. These gardens are lovely and the staff very friendly and willing to answer any questions. Another reviewer mentioned the part of the garden with hidden ceramic birds. Children and adults alike will enjoy trying to find them. If you are... More

We visited the Historic Gardens with a group of RVers on a tour of the Maritimes. This place was part of the tour; we are so very glad it was one of our stops. My husband and I wish we could have stayed longer than the hour. The brief introduction to the grounds was helpful and the map is easy... More

This is an oasis in the middle of everything, ... so beautiful and peaceful. The gardens are laid out thoughtfully and seem to wind you through history. There are benches placed along the walkways and every one of them seems to focus your vision on something special. The garden shop was fun, with lots of neat things, not just touristy... More

A nice touch that they provide umbrellas but I'd prefer sunshine. Staff was pleasant and helpful. There's a seniors rate. Wide variety of plants from around the world and historic varieties of vegetables and other plantings. On a less damp day there's the opportunity to walk the old Acadian Dykes that adjoin. Good cinder pathways that tend to flood in... More

We so enjoyed our visit to the gardens! The staff was friendly and helpful. Don't miss out on the Tea Room and treat yourself to a Butter Croissant! A truly beautiful setting! Take your time and enjoy it all!

When we visited the roses were mainly in bud so over the next few weeks they will be in full bloom. A gentle stroll takes you all around the grounds taking in the various styles of gardens and there are plenty of benches to take a rest.

These gardens are a lovely escape - they are laid out in such a fashion that you are given time to walk and explore the area. The gardens also respect the Acadian heritage by providing an example of housing - very interesting for children. The only challenge was that one of the signs that told what plants/area we were in,... More
