My husband and I visited the Annapolis Royal Gardens in Aug 2013 on a hot Aug day. What a fantastic place! There were many gardens to visit, each with its own theme and style. I have visited many gardens in North America and this was among the best. There was lots of shade in many parts, so even on miserable... More

I have visited many gardens in North American and I found this garden worth the visit. My visit was in August so much of the colour was supplied by annual transplants which were used extensively in Victorian gardens. I would like to see more variety in the annual plantings as many of the same plants were used throughout the gardens... More

Worth a visit. Not cheap. Perhaps maybe during the warmer months, altho' it wasn't too bad when we visited it. Some of the summer blooms were still visible.

The gardens are divided into separate areas, which show different styles of gardening across time. We were late in the year but it was still interesting and the victorian gardening was fabulouis.
