If you love flowers, you will definitely enjoy walking the grounds here. We've been here several times over the years and the many varieties of plants and flowers is truly amazing. There are several benches around the grounds and you can even take a stroll on a dyke adjacent to the grounds. We would highly recommend the Gardens for a... More

Very neat place. Beautiful flowers. Enjoyed lunch at the nearby German bakery/restaurant. Well worth the ride past the State park from the Southeast coast where we stayed.

The gardens are well laid out and can be easily walked on smooth paths. The plants are labeled for enthusiastic gardeners. staff are helpful and there are lots of benches and little rest spots to sit and enjoy. A coloured map handout helps you choose your preferred gardens. We were there July 20, 2015 and the roses were gorgeous. Lots... More

This is a lovely garden with a variety of garden types, i.e. large rose garden, perennials, rock garden, pond, etc. Everything is very well-tended and well-labeled (I find it really annoying when plants in a botanic garden are not well-labeled.) There is a café on site, but we did not eat there -- we were not ready for lunch yet.... More

I am not a garden buff nor would go out of my way to visit a garden. My wife is and therefor I ended up in this lovely, well maintained historical garden. It was meticulously laid out with a mix of interesting historical facts regarding many of the plants some of which were hundreds of years old. How they were... More

The gardens are gorgeous! we had a scavenger hunt which kept the girls engaged and happy during our stroll through the gardens. I was very excited that this year... More

I've been to the Historic Gardens in Annapolis Royal many a time and never fail to appreciate the slower pave and the serenity of the gardens. For seniors, the fee is just $9.75 plus tax, and you can stay as long as you like. Besides the gardens--my favourite spot--you can browse the gift shop and stop in at the little... More
